Actually I see that a lot here in AZ. It is amazing that people can live here for years and not learn English. I am also anti illegal aliens. They drain the US economy. :thumbsup:

Not true! I could go to 4 different stores in my community and see the same obese person surronded by kids using food stamps really on a daily basis.

SSI also needs to be reformed. I know a person that needs it and he can't get it. He worked for years and now has a medical disorder that keeps him from working for a while. To many people are on it that do not need to be. They approve you for three years at a time and do not check on you until those three years are up. You could be fine for a year or two and they would not know.

Being in education, I often see parents willingly trying to get there kids diagnosed with ADHD or other special ed labels because that means another ssi check.
The Democrats turned ssi into welfare and in effect are bankrupting the system.
It was never meant to be an entitlement program that is a sole support of income. Liberals strike again.

I went to SSI office with my dad once because thay were jerking him around when he applied.
Anyway, no exageration, the office was not filled with seniors as i would have expected but with young women.

Yeah I can believe that. That is reall sad. The person I know has worked most of his life. He was diagnosed with a mental illness and his shrink said that he can not work. So he applied for SSI until he can get the go ahead from the shrink to work again. Soemtimes there are people that really need it. It is a shame people scam the system and take away from the ones that are really needing it.

Depends on why they are applying. Some may have a real condition where they can't work. There are a lot of people with mental illnesses that get SSI.

What a dumb proposal , if there is something I don't like it's people complaining bout ending welfare. If you don't like welfare, get a job and live your own life and stop complaining and pointing the finger at people who live on welfare because You Might not know the reason why they're on welfare.... They could be depressed, have a mental illness or they just don't fit in society etc.
And take note to this : ending welfare will only increase crime....

Nope, not "hogwash" at all... you see it all the time in the DC area anyway. It never ceases to depress me... the lives some people live. Around here, it's mostly poorer immigrant people who are having lots of children.

But you can believe it doesn't happen, that I just made it up, and maintain your belief system without intrusion. :thumbsup:
