It is pretty similar.. it's also similar to German. As I so geniusly (??) put it to my roommate not too long ago - "Danish is just like English.. but with different words!" I'm not a linguist though.

Well it would be. English and German are very similar.
Remember that the English, Gauls and Teutons have been sharing ******** and language for years and have the common ****** heritage of the Roman Empire.
