Sasha Grey visits elementary school to do story time with first graders

Vicky Vette > Sasha Grey

Finally something we can agree on. And I am impressed that she didn't go with the knee jerk reaction that we are picking on porn stars. There are plenty of rock stars work that I admire also, but I don't think Nikki Sixx would be an appropriate person to read a story in front of young children in a classroom either.

Hmmm well if the subject is about not doing drugs it can kill you... maybe?

It's not bad if kids want to grow up to be rock stars. I wanted to be a rockstar when I grew up and it motivated me to learn to play the guitar and write creative shit. Plus I think Nikki Sixx is living a clean life now so he wouldn't really be a bad example to kids either.

I hope my final post.
My problem is more with people defending this as if it's cute or innocent or no big deal.
Little kids that age shouldn't even know what sex is, let alone know what porn is.. Let them be kids for just a few years for christ sake.
By putting SashaGray, famous pornstar of the year known for her very hardcore scenes as a guest reader in front of kids that young is, no matter how you want to twist it, exposing them to sex and exposing them to porn on a certain level.
Why do that?
If anyone can't understand that then there's no point trying to explain any further.

It is great that you think best for children.

But I think that people over-react to this issue :error:

HOW would they know?

Cheech Marin is a star in SPY KIDS and various animated movies...........explain who this guy is to your 8 year old!!! (better yet, HOW would any of the parents know who she was?)

I think you make a good point. But I think it is the age of the children that concerns most of us. I am not so sure that I would want my child if they were a first grader to even know about Motley Crue or listen to some of their lyrics. Even Vince Neil said that if his daughter were to become a groupie or try and have a relationship with a musician he would probably want to kill him.

i dont think thats right, and it not alright. maybe the kid wont know, but the parent will know and it may hurt in the long run beacuse this will eventualy find out and may create a dileemna in moral issue by seeing this being look upon as a good image when we know that sometime porn destroy a life

HOW would they know?

You disappoint me ragin.

What's the first thing these kids will do when they get home?

Yes, they'll google 'Sasha Grey'.

Sure, they might find out that she appeared on Entourage if they look hard enough. They'll see she has a Twitter account and posts on YouTube. :)

And guess else they'll find?

- Cum Fart Cocktails 5
- Assault That Ass 9
- Fuck Slaves
- Black Cock Addiction 2
- Gang Bang My Face
- Share My Cock! 4
- Suck It Dry 3
- Slam It! In a Slut
- Butt Sex Bonanza

Once again, no offense to her personally.

I haven't an opinion yet on this.

Was it wrong of my elementary school teacher to bring in a former drug addict into school to lecture us on how to not fall into drugs and alcohol? My teacher brought in a convicted felon to lecture us.

if the kids are free to roam the internet with no supervision or parental blocks, then the parents of said children are far more harmful to the health and well-being of their kids than one 15 minute storytelling from Sasha Grey. Kids should be kids and I agree with that - children have no business being on the internet until their schoolwork requires them to research, and even then there should be parental blocks placed on the computer. Parents CAN protect their kids from porn, if they aren't so fucking lazy and negligent. So if kids find out who Sasha Grey is, then thats on the parents, not on her.

Oh and lets not all pretend that our shit don't stink. We've all done things that others may see as wrong or negatively influential on children. I get naked for a living - does that mean in my personal time I should avoid interacting with kids? I think not. What we do for a living should never determine who we are or how much good we can bring to the world. Doing positive things should never be something we look down on, no matter who the person is. Sasha having consentual sex on camera for your physical enjoyment should not determine whether she is fit to interact with children or not. If she was a danger to children, then sure. But she's not. She makes entertainment for ADULTS.

Actors who star in R-rated horror movies full of violence, blood and gore certainly wouldn't be treated like a second class citizen if they were wanting to read stories to kids. Seeing that kind of violence on film could have just as bad of an impact on kids, if not more....and those kind of violent movies are just as easy to google and find. Should we bar all entertainment figures from interacting with children? Remove any chance of Make a Wish kids getting to meet their movie hero because they've done R rated films?

i thought i was seeing this all wrong, so I wondered if I had confirmation bias. Was I giving peference to Sasha Grey?
what if it were Max Hardcore or Lexington Steele or something?

nope, still wouldn't care because they weren't introduced as such and Sasha Grey isn't really a porn commodity any longer ( is known more as a mainstream actress and business woman now).

no 1st or 3rd grader is doing google searches on their own. If that were the case you'd disqualify sexpots like Halle Berry, Paris Hilton, Kim Kardashian, Lady Gaga, Britney Spears, Monica Lewinsky, or Paul Reubens

I wouldn't even be upset over this

For one, these elementary kids are more concerned about when recess is than the background and history of people that visit their class (they don't care what you know until they know you care)
Second, (and this has a little to do with teacher critique), I often ask my son at the end of a school day, not "what did you learn (today)?", but "did your teachers try to get you to THINK or BELIEVE today?". A stark difference between the two.
Parents that are upset over this have it all wrong. "School" isn't supposed to be some indoctrination camp (the skewed perception we somehow have deferred to believe), it is a place where kids are supposed to be developing critical thinking skills through process and exposure to different media.

... Second, pornography is illegal as far as consumption and viewing by minors! You must be 18 to access it legally!!!

Let me put this as delicately as I can, Icewater and Meesterperfect...

THE KIDS IN THAT CLASS WERE NOT VIEWING GODDAMN PORN!!!!!!!! THESE WAS NO SEX. THOSE KIDS HAVE NO CONCEPTION OF PORN OR SEX. THERE WAS NO EXPOSURE TO PORN. THERE WAS NO SCREENING OF HER FILMS OR HAND-OUTS OF X-RATED PIX OF HER!!!!!! GET IT!?

Sasha Grey was not there representing the porn industry, or her porn-star image. She was reading children's books because she apparently cares about kids and education. Geez, arrest her! So, because she's a porn star, she's not allowed to care about things other than getting cum splashed on her? Jesus Christ ... Sasha Grey the pornstar and is not the same young women who was standing in the classroom that day. Sasha Grey the pornstar and the woman who's behind that name are two very different people. One is a persona, the other is a PERSON. Our occupation alone does not define us as a person. If you shovel shit for a living, does that make you unworthy? If you work at McDonald's, does that make you unworthy? If you are an actor who plays a serial killer in a movie or on TV, does that mean you're dangerous in real life. God, what the fuck ...

What you said!!! :goodpost: :goodpost: :goodpost: :goodpost: :goodpost:

You seem to be missing the point: SHE IS THE FACE OF PORNOGRAPHY! This is what she represents. Porn. Anyone that thinks a direct representative of porn belongs in a classroom with kids needs help. Why in almighty hell would you want the face of a product that is illegal for the viewing, consumption, and participation of minors to be anywhere as a guest to minors??? Who cares if she isn't doing porn that day... what is the point of her even showing up? Where do we draw the line?

What? Do we get Casey Anthony in there next?

After all, she was found not guilty, and by legal standpoint did not kill her daughter. Lemme guess, you'd be good with her around your kids as well? You gonna tell me since she is not killing anyone's kids that she's cool to come show up as a guest at schools? Let's flip it: What if some yahoo parent shows up and physically attacks Sasha Grey. You know as well as I do, A LOT OF PARENTS have absolutely no problem assaulting or even killing anyone they don't want around their kids... ON SIGHT! Why do we wait until something fucked up happens til' we say somebody should have stopped this shit. Some people, based on what they do and what they represent, do not need to be around kids... quit making excuses for it. Why the fuck are we so damn quick to be politically correct, then wanna have common sense after the fact?

It really is quite simple: PORN AND KIDS DO NOT GO TOGETHER IN ANY WAY, SHAPE, OR FORM... PERIOD.

I'm not sure I understand what you mean by "face of porn". That's why I asked, and only shifty answered, "Do you have a problem solely with Sasha?" You seem to think that everyone knows who she is. I would hazard to guess that most people don't, and the ones that do are pretty heavy into porn. Should you be excluded from interacting with kids based on your participation in this forum?
