I haven't read this thread (as there are too many of them, and the original Election 2008 thread seems to have disappeared), but here's one good reason why I'd stay far, far away from Palin: story here.

My first question, though, would not be one of those. I'd simply ask which books she wants to ban -- and why.

Yes, there's a list of titles floating around the Internet right now, but it's a fake. It is, however, established fact that our would-be vice president has in the past tried to pull books off library shelves.

The "Election 2008" thread was merged with another thread and left with what IMO is the idiotic title the other thread had.I might have to ask a mod to change it to the "Election 2008" one again so that we can all find it easily.

I have to say I am against the ideology of Sarah Palin. She seems very much handled by the RNC, and she does not have that much experience(Mayor of her adopted hometown of 10,000 people and a state that has the population of a suburb of Chicago for two years.) She is tenacious and obviously intelligent. She knows how to work a crowd: hell she even has the most charisma of all of the candidates, but I can not agree with her Christian ideology. I believe she could take this country backwards. With a couple of new Supreme Court justices, forums such as this could be eliminated. Peggy Hill as a Neocon guns and butter Barbie.

Why don't they just say & stick to it;
'Palin has NO foreign policy experience ,BUT she will follow the lead of Mccain,absorb, & promulgate his foreign policy philosophy. She brings valuable executive skills & outsider perspective'.

Sarah Palin is the most unqualified vice-presidential nominee in American history, which is pretty scary, given McCain’s age and his history of cancer.

Two years ago, Palin was the part-time mayor of a village of 8,000 people. Today, McCain thinks she’s ready to step into the presidency of the United States and run this country in the eventuality he can no longer perform those duties?

In an interview just a month ago with Larry Kudlow on CNBC, Palin dissed the job, saying it didn’t seem “productive” and wasn’t even sure “what it is exactly the vice president does every day.”

McCain could hardly have picked worse.

You know, this is becoming an everday topic anymore. Granted, the guy looks as if he's been tortured or locked-up or something, but does anyone really think he's that old?
