And i know you dont believe, But the question from you was for those Who do. So i explained how the believers can see a good and just God. and if you believe in what the Bible says God doesn't change some of the evils because he wants us to have blind faith in him, that's why he doesn't create miracles on a daily basis to prove to the devil that we do believe even without his interference and that opens up the kingdom of heaven. That being said, i am ok with you not believing. Judge not lest Ye be judged

Religion (whether it's Christianity, Islam etc) was created centuries ago due to people being unable to understand why things exist. For instance why is there a sun in the sky? Fuck knows, let's assume someone put it there and we'll call him god. To people 2000 years ago this was the only way to explain their existence. Now in today's world where science can answer the questions of existence that could not be answered 2000 years ago, I still can't believe people actually believe in this god nonsense.

Get a grip and smell reality.

If this god has a will that cannot be changed, why would it be necessary to blame lesser beings for anything? Daily basis? Again, if this god has a will, there's no need to create miracles because that would imply that god had to change something like answering a prayer or saving someone's life but letting hundreds of others die. How kind.

This part of the debate over God's existence is tied to what non-believers think God should be. Take it like this, non-believers are trying to create a scenario. "If there were a God then no-one would die or suffer." That's the arguement, right? If these non-believers HAD this perfect world, would they change their minds and now believe?

Say this happened overnight. We fall asleep to the evening news then wake up to the perfect world. Every problem has been solved. How would the non-believers account for this? Let me next ask this. If this perfect world always existed, would there still be non-believers?

Depends on what you'd call a perfect world but like I showed, the objection isn't just based on how cruel this world is, it's based on obvious contradictions that theists ignore when they make the god claims. I've listed what has been told to be godly because why would non-believers assume things about gods they don't believe in. We go based on what the claimer says is a god.

There's something hauntingly familiar about this post...what is it...?
Oh, yeah...!

There's certainly no difference between your posts. Same non-argument bullshit. I hope you can figure out the difference between maps and religion before you die. Not holding my breath but let's see what happens. Run off to the "legalize it" thread and let the grown-ups talk.

that is simply a cop out. if this is all how it goes then why do people pray? what would be the point if it's all already determined? is YOUR request going to change the course of things? I certainly hope that people cannot be so egotistical to believe so, but they are.

There is no point other than a placebo effect that makes you think the responsibility, is off your shoulders. The simple fact that prayers are made, shows that theists aren't happy with their god's world. Of course, they would never talk back to "him" so they have to blame themselves like an abused wife.

I was always taught you don't pray to him for him to take away your trials but give thanks to him for making you the strong enough person you are to Face them on your own

I am a Christian not Catholic and the church I followed does have a little different way of looking at things.

I'll be praying for ya ......BABE!

Re: Sad & Simple Proof There is No God

"Acts of God....isn't everything an act of God? How do the insurance companies decide what isn't an act of god? Do they have a hotline up to heaven? 'Hello god?' 'Yes this is god' 'hello god. we have a few questions. that flood in Missouri that killed 12 people and wiped out all those houses was that you?' a pause while god checks his books.... 'yep that was me' "oh ok, we thought so! what about the big pile up on the freeway in California that killed 20 people and injured over 50?' pause again as god checks his books "nope not me. I was in africa that day giving aids to babies" - Ricky Gervais

ya have to admit that shit is funny!

Looks like somebody is getting geared up for a Flame fest this weekend. You do that and I will enjoy my time in Little Cayman.

Love the Caymans, my favorite place to dive

You are so right. I scheduled this trip fully expecting not to be able to go because it would be at the peak of hurricane season but it is unusually quiet this year. More proof there is a God :)

yeah Ive been to the caymans 3 times last time we went from island to island diving and it was really nice. but if you wanna see incredible water and seriously vibrant reefs the exumas are just outrageous

I would have been in tampa this weekend if I weren't going on this trip and more than likely been hanging out at the Hard Rock casino across the street from the fairgrounds. I probably would have went over to the food fest if I were in town.
