I'm no American, Ceska. But I don't expect US to be led by God but by a man/Woman, a mortal, with all his/her warts and all.
Because somebody hasn't been exposed, doesn't mean he is better than any other.
I look for ability to lead, and you know, the reverse of lead is deal. Who can deal best (for his country), is the lead-er.
And What I detested is the mud throwing. Look deeper, you will find it's politically motivated one.

I would say, never fall in love with a politician, they are all sluts (both physically and mentally, always dancing from one fad political idea to another, whoring themselves out to lobbyists and big money players)... actually, the thing I care least about is whom they sleep with, unless family values are a part of their political stand, then they deserve to get slammed...

I hate to take pleasure in the suffering of others... but in Edward's case, I've been :rofl: ever since this story broke. They guys is a typical lawyer/politician, and the fact he tried to play off that he's anything else just didn't sound right from the get-go. And the fact he used his wife's illness to try and get sympathy votes just pissed me off.

Yeah, we really shouldn't care who a politician is fucking. After all the person he most often fucks is you/me.

If you read my previous post and understood it, you would know that I agree with you that - a leader's ability to do what is best for the country is important.
Where we apparently disagree is that I believe *confirmed* evidence that a man is already willing to funnel thousands of dollars per month to his mistress and repeatedly lie to the people he represents as well as to his dying wife until the very bitter end may be an indication of his ability to lead on other matters.
Perhaps we should not ignore this evidence in comparing him with others any more than we should ignore your lack of mud slinging while comparing you to others.

Thanks for the compliment Ceska. I did went through your previous post and understood as well as I can. Every one has his/her limitation. I too have them. :bowdown:
I don't condone immoral act. But, neither I condemn, without reasoning them out. In my opinion, different people act differently under stress. But that too should not be taken as an excuse to do something that is not accepted by the prevalent society. I think, that's the psychologist, in me, who is talking. And I'm not an amateur.
But the MEDIA, they do it for business, without stresses. Distort and suppress truth, just for profit. I hope no one abuses the faith that the society has placed upon them. Then they should not be counted as the 'Fourth Pillar' of the society.
But may be it's my bias talking. I was condemned by the media, when dd accidentally fell from a multi-storied building, while trying to save some one else's life. It was told in bold letters, that I had sent him to the brink of suicide by my avaricious nature, with my photograph accompanying the story. I was delineated from my friends. It was this board that gave me the courage to fight back. I am ever grateful for that. dd was unconscious and he was unable to defend me. We didn't have the money-power to go against the big media houses.
But that doesn't count. Our happiness counts. The incident has changed dd. He is now mad about money and the security that money can buy. I have lost the ever present doting husband that I had. But that too should be discounted, shouldn't it, in favor of the money the media made out of me.

.. totally agree .. but this is surely about a man in public office who gets caught lying after repeatedly denying what he eventually admitted to, trying to limit the damage he has caused to himself and those around him.
He has no credibility now .. how can he be trusted again ..

Just for the record Edwards currently holds no public office.Ran for dem nomination and lost and had been mentioned as possible cabinet member if Obama was to win.

was he not a senator when tis all blew up two or so years ago .. forgive me I'm English and haven't made a study of his career .. in any event he's a lawyer who publicly lied and got caught screw him and his like.
Well it just blew up, but I guess you mean when he was doing it.But no he has not been a senator for some years now.He was running mate to Kerry in 2004.But yes he was/is a lawyer , a very succesfull one at that, who sued in behalf of victims of malpractice mainly ,where you only make money if you win, and he won a lot.
