I will admit the new controller, while no doubt expensive, has my quite excited for this game! I just hope you can still use all the DLC we already have...

• Pro Guitar features notated guitar and bass performances, available for play with either the new Fender™ Mustang™
PRO-Guitar™ simulated guitar controller from Mad Catz or the Rock Band 3 Squier® by Fender Stratocaster® Guitar Controller that is a real guitar/controller hybrid. The Rock Band 3 Squier Stratocaster is a fully functional, full-sized, six-string electric guitar that also functions as a game controller.

Two new guitar controllers will be available, one of which is a fully functional six-string Fender Squier Stratocaster. In pro mode, numbers will flow down the note chart, telling you where to place your fingers and when to strum. that sounds like they’ve made a video game out of standard guitar tabulature – and that’s not a bad thing. "While you’re playing it, it feels exactly like playing a real guitar," because that’s what you’re doing, said Harmonix’s John Drake.

Sounds like I'll be going back to easy. But damn, I gotta learn how to use this thing!!!!

I guess I'll be returning to music games...

If the controller wasn't 130/150 I might have considered. I'll just stick to my real guitar. I may buy the game, but it has to have a good setlist (AKA Im probably not buying the game).

hmmmm i would buy that controller but im pretty sure its gonna be a squire bullet strat...which really sucks and I dont think that people who play real guitar are gonna pay for an entry level guitar.

I might get the controller. Will wait for reviews and such before I drop 150 on the thing. But I don't have a clue how to play real guitar, so might be good for me.

I'm pretty excited for it, despite the price tag, although that's probably mostly because I play the guitar and am interested to see how they try to emulate it.

Great, its a two octave keyboard, I cant wait to get my hands on that puppy especially if it emulates the real thing.

Here's what has me pumped. A real 6 string controller that is a guitar, just usable as a controller for the game. I tried to play guitar a few times and got frustrated and quit. At least this way I can have fun, and maybe learn a thing or 2...

much better than that crappy fake plastic thing with a shit load of buttons. To bad it will no doubt be way to expensive.

I'm probably pre-ordering it next week, after I pick up Crackdown 2. Interestingly enough, the Gamestop here is requiring a deposit of $25 for the game+keyboard combo, on the reasoning that a typical $5 down on a $130 game isn't much of a commitment...lol.

WOW! Maybe I'll finally be able to actually learn how to fucking play guitar? It's my best shot at least. I never did see the point in spending all that time and money on boring ass lessons.

i am soooo looking forward to that game! i play rockband a lot with my friends - and now there's a new instrument coming along with a great setlist... this is going to be awesome!
the pro guitar is such a cool idea - i just hope the version i attached is gonna be released, too; it just looks way more professional...
