Bummer. I was never a huge fan of Alomar, but he was a really good 2nd baseman-probably the best of his time. I suspect he also abused performance enhancing drugs as his power numbers can not be simply justified by playing a good portion of career at Jacobs Field and Camden Yards where his power numbers increased. If he has contracted HIV, then I wish him the best.
