You surely mean smallpox, measles, and the whole kit and caboodle.The Spaniards did not "exterminate" the Aztecs, disease did that.In 1658, less than 50 years after Cortez conquered the Aztecs, the population of Mexico was 3 million, but nearly 50 years before it had been 30 million, so, did each of Cortez's 500 Spaniards kill 54,000 each?I don't think so.The Americas were like Hawaii to a certain extent,cut off from the rest of the world and from the disease trading that went on for a long time in the Old World.Europeans had acquired experience with their childhood diseases in the distant past, the Indians never had anything like that, Hell, Malaria hitched a ride from Africa aboard European ships.
