I was subjected to a ban once.I think they are usually discussed but I'm sure in some cases that is not seen as required.I'm sure there are cases that they think are so clear cut that it needs no discussion.And yes you are told why as in something like "You are ****** for flaming" and told what date your ban is over unless its a permanant one,which is gone over in the board rules.

I don't know my encounter with Dark Jester had me worried LOL.I need to just ignore some stuff more maybe but that is not my nature.
