Yes, it's a good game for being unfinished.

I remember a year or two when I last played it the restored content patch I got for it seemed to work alright for the most part and restored the vast majority of what was practically possible to do. If that's what you trying to do with it. Of course I think I paid close attention to it back then so I could avoid any glitches that might have came with it, and I knew where the restored content would be at.

There were still some things that didn't quite make sense with the patch, which wasn't the patch programmers' fault since they would have either had to rewrite whole sections, create scrip that wasn't in the game, do animation, and get voice actors and there were also missing parts that were just too incomplete to ever restore, like the droid planet. That wouldn't have been a restoration anyhow. Even with the restorations the ending wasn't great at the very end where the ship just takes off and it's not revealed what happens after that like in the original game, but at least right before that some things were restored like your party members confronting Traya before you get there. The added droid factory on Telos felt tacked on, but again that wasn't the patchers fault because there wasn't enough stuff to go on to actually explain it.

It doesn't have anything to do with any restoration patch, but I also don't like something that came about because they when they decided was was canon about it later both Brianna and Mical (the Handmaiden and Deciple respectively) go with you (which I think is preferable that they did that) but in the game depending on whether you are male or female only one comes along. So basically it's impossible to actually play a canon version of the actual story in the game. I don't blame them for changing it but it's just irritating. It's even worse because it would have made a lot more sense to drop GO-TO who was probably the most worthless and crappiest character in the two games and added the other one that doesn't get to come along. All the things GO_TO was needed for plotwise they could have done without him needing to be in the party.

The patch I had also messed around with the influence system a bit. To be honest I didn't really like it either way. I don't usually "cheat" in games I play, but raising everybody's influence in the game with a save game editor, with the ones I was low with was one of the exceptions because I wasn't just going to play another whole game and do things a different way I didn't want to go to actually hear all the backstory from everybody. About the only other thing that comes to mind at the moment that patch didn't fix was that you can only get to so high a level because there are no spawning enemies, yet the game was meant to go higher. (This is probably because at some point the droid planet was dropped from the game.) The problem with that was the random item drops you get from containers and enemies depends on your level so their are items that exist in the game that will never appear in it because you can never reach the level to make the game have them show up.
