this thread WAS going in the right direction but then strayed off the chicken topic. Let me steer us back in that direction. A few weeks before Katrina hit New Orleans, my then GF and I went there for the Essence festival. We ate at one of Emiril's restaurants (on Charelston Ave i think?) Anyway, the original Popeyes was there so on the Monday we left we hopped over there from Magazine Street and tried it. Let me tell you it was WAYYYY different and much better than any of the Popeyes I've had here. And we got a side of red beans and rice.
Oddly enough, tho Emirils place was wonderful, its that damn Popeyes chicken i miss most about my dining in New Orleans. We also ate at some other places in Jackson Square and this one wierd place that was a washeteria/restaurant. incredible etoufee or however you spell it.
oh and as far as the racism in porn stuff, its funny to me how everyone can easily pass off porn storylines as "well porn aint real except for the fuckin" but then immediately believe EVERYTHING when it comes to interracial porn. I'm mixed so i dont count, but if my friends and I are in the gym and hit the showers afterwords my white friends look at my black friends in disbelief....not because they are justin slayer but because they are normal sized. its an uncomfortable moment. and my black friends are like "try not to look so dissappointed" as for me i'm mixed, so my dick is plaid. its the fuckin wierdest thing ever.
