If anti-abortion protesters, or any other group, was doing what those punks in Portland were doing, then yeah, I'd be all for the National Guard banging their heads, if that's what it took to control and arrest them. But I also clearly said in my initial post:

I believe in ONE set of legal and behavioral standards, irrespective of ideology.

Protesting against fascism and the pull to the far right worldwide should be welcomed, but when large groups are armed or are talking violence, they should definitely be on some kind of watch list. I think it's pretty quick to add them to a "terror" list if they haven't actually conducted (or attempted?) any acts of terror as we've always defined it.

Who knows better about about fascism than the guy who invented it and the guy who invented and defined the word "fascism" ?

Fascism originated in Italy, and Mussolini claims to have invented the word itself. It was actually his ghostwriter, Giovanni Gentile, who invented it and defined it in the Encyclopedia Italiana in this way: “Fascism should more appropriately be called corporatism because it is a merger of state and corporate power.”

In other words, fascism is corporate government – a Libertarian’s wet dream. It’s a government in which the Atlas’s of industry are given free rein to control the economy, just how they’re regulated, how much they pay in taxes, how much they pay their workers.
In 1938, Mussolini finally got his chance to bring fascism to fruition. He dissolved Parliament and replaced it with the “Camera dei Fasci e delle Corporazioni” – the Chamber of the Fascist Corporations. Members of the Chamber were not selected to represent particular regional constituencies, but instead to represent various aspects of Italian industry and trade. They were the corporate leaders of Italy.

Imagine if the House of Representatives was dissolved and replaced by a Council of America’s most powerful CEOs – the Kochs, the Waltons, the Blankfeins, the Dimons, the Mackeys, you get the picture.
Actually, that’s not too difficult to imagine, huh? But, that’d be similar to what Mussolini defined as fascism.

I think we can all agree that every group, be it party, movement or any other form, that has itself established, from which members are not only on singular, out-of-the usual occasions, perform violent, harmful to others, threatening acts, which in return are not clearly being distanced from, and, more importantly which guilty members are not cast out by the group, MUST be put on this watchlist.

To say that the various Antifa groups have no members that fall under the above described behaviours is laughable. I have witnessed such members. There is the trend to rather paint such acts as not by actual members or they were provoked, in my opinion, this is not a smart strategy. So they SHOULD be watched. Why is this actually a good thing?

They can show they are doing no harm. And lose those foul apples.
