I cannot speak for those fans you're referring to, but I will make my own observations on the subject of male talent.

While I would agree that the focus should be on the female talent, I myself find it both "sad and comical" when I hear males that are so homophobic that they're not at all willing to acknowledge that the male pornstars play a role in how good a scene is (I'm not accusing you of this, BTW, I just find it ironic that I have the exact same reaction to the situation but coming from the other point of view). I think most of us would agree that the best scenes are the ones where the women are most "into it," and that being the case, you need some sort of chemistry between her and the man. I think it's fairly obvious that some men are better at establishing a rapport with their partners than others, and so it's makes perfect sense to me that one would rather see a particular girl in a scene with a them rather than somebody else. Also, some guys are just lame ducks in their scenes, and try as you might to ignore that, it difficult not to notice that the scene suffers from it.

As for Lex, I think he gets much of his reputation because he's managed to put together some very successful series over the last couple of years, but IMO he's gotten a bit lazy recently.... maybe the success has gone to his head. I'm sure those Lex fans would be howling at such a suggestion, but I believe that's what's taken place.... and if that means the female talent is less "into it," then of course that's important. :2 cents:

I agree Parker, the "male talent" has to have some talent or the scene will be lacking. And there has to be a comfort level for both stars, or it won't look right. But, my issue is with men, who watch a scene because of the guy in the scene, not the woman. There are men in the biz I'm not too fond of, but I won't turn off a Nikki Tyler movie because she worked with Mark Davis. My interest in the movie is Nikki Tyler, not Mark Davis, or who ever.

But some "fans" out there dislike certain female stars because they have yet to work with certain men. I find that to be the most disturbing thing. This business is about the women, not the men.

Honestly, if Lexington Steele was a different skin colour, he'd be considered an average performer in the industry. Of course, none of his fans will admit that. (Ever wonder why Vanilla Ice has the highest selling rap CD?) Not trying to start anything, just stating my opinion.
