That's consistent with the information I have on this issue. And as I previously stated Herpes and HPV infection rates are unknown as that information isn't released, likely because of the high rate of prevalence in the industry.

Honestly, I'm agreeing with you. Unfortunately there are risk in porn that one takes when they do the job. Other than to have stricter testing and to somehow keep people from having sex before shoots for weeks at a time to make sure they are clean there won't be any way to mitigate any harm that might be done much more than it is now to a large degree without also destroying the end product or making it so it can't be created at all (like mandatory condom usage would). It would be like trying to limit concussions in American football or boxing by only allowing physical contact that is limited in how hard you can hit the other person, limiting deaths in auto racing by having them go no faster than 100km/hour, or making it so movies can't use stuntmen or the people doing mock martial arts fights in movies can't actually touch each other because they might get injured or die on the job for the purposes of entertainment. There comes a point where people have to realize that they are adults that make their own decisions and take knowing risk. The very rare chance of contracting AIDS being one of them in this industry.

I'm wondering why all HIV rumors and confirmed cases in porn happen in the US - never in Prague or Budapest.

Is it that testing is stricter in Europe? Do the performers take better care of themselves? Are production companies taking better care of working conditions? Or are statistics in favor of Europe with less output produced over here?

The only semi-confirmed case of HIV in European porn was an unnamed girl in St. Petersburg shooting for Sineplex about two or three years ago - a company that already had a bad reputation.

Performing in straight and gay/bisexual porn can't be the issue here as attested by performers like Titof, Strelly and many Czech dudes who fuck every hole for money. :dunno:

My guess is that too many amateurish people dabble in American porn who either lack the responsibility or the intelligence to work in a high-risk profession like unprotected sex.
