Pick your poison!

Crown Royal Canadian whiskey

Cider. My weakness. I claim I go to the UK yearly for a gaming convention but it's really just an excuse to top off my cider supply.

Good excuse... "Guys, I'm going to England because I'm a gigantic nerd, not because I have a drinking problem"

guinness for sure.

Extra stout, or that draft piss water?

fosters maybe?

Please turn in your man card at the door. It has been revoked.

When I was living where it was available, I'd drink Mirror Pond Pale Ale in the summer and switch to Blacke Butte Porter in the winter, both by Deschutes Brewing of Oregon. Both are the best in their categories, IMO. I can't get them anymore, and that is sad for me. But I highly recommend both to me friends and family.

I'm not really a fan of either of those. I think Deschutes beers are too hoppy. To each his own, I guess.

Have you ever had Woodchuck pear cider? Wherever I drink that I'm like a dog getting a belly rub, leg twitching and everything. :drool2:

The last time I ever heard someone say "Pick your poison" is Ben Kingsley in Shutter Island.
I guess Heineken is my fav alkie beverage. Not really a serious drinker though but Heiney always hits the spot.

That is a good question. As I'm supposed to pick an alcoholic beverage, I'd say Krefelder (two thirds German alt beer and one third Coca Cola). Pretty popular where I come from.

It's very rare that I imbibe alcohol, but when I do, I can drink a lot of Mead.

Is this beer specific? It sounds interesting, but I don't think I know any German alt beers. Help a Canadian out.

Do you mean what brand of beer or what type of beer?
If you mean the type: "alt beer" ("Altbier" in German) is a dark, heavy beer. A bit like brown ale, but heavier and smoother and doesn't go stale that fast. Beeradvocate.com says: "the extended conditioning mellows out the ale's fruitiness and produces an exceptionally smooth and delicate brew. The color ranges from amber to dark brown, medium in carbonation with a great balance between malt and hops."
If you mean the brand: preferably Diebels Alt or Diebels Premium Alt. Gatz and Frankenheim are good, too.

Krefelder is just a great drink. Especially when it's really cold. It's a bit sparkling, but not too much, it is bitter from the beer and sweet from the coke, and it is refreshing as hell.

I'm into cocktails. I'll have a gin and tonic. Or just hold the tonic. I picked up a taste for gin lately, even by itself.

Or for beer, I'll take either a Shiner Bock from right here in Texas or a Chimay from Belgium, hard to decide.

Heineken or Sofiero.

I'd say water : The healthiest and the most refreshing of all beverage.
Also, water can be used to make coffee or tea.

Wine. As to one kind, that's a brain teaser. A few years ago I would have told you without hesitation - Pepperwood Grove Cabernet Franc. My God that was a great wine. Never gave me a hangover, I could drink it with anything and the price was great. But then something happened. I'm assuming the owners sold to someone else. The Cab Franc disappeared and then the whole line (they also did a really nice Cabernet Sauvignon) completely went to hell. Probably some half-assed investment group came along and put in cost-cutting. (Probably Bain Capital)

So now, I'm getting back into Rose'. And I seem to be the only one. I was liking Red Bicyclette. Of course, it disappeared. And every time I go shopping, it's a crapshoot if I'm even going to find any Rose' or what brand. I don't get it. How the hell can people drink white zin and/or blush chablis when Rose' is a b'zillion times better than both. And whatever happened to Mateus?

So I don't know. I like Ravenswood Cab Sauvignon. But you really can't hold a person to just one wine. If you were asking about cigars, I could stick with just one brand (Padron), but I'd still want a couple different ring gauges. I'm going to cheat and say Rose' and Cab Sauvignon.

I will remain severely pissed about the Pepperwood Grove thing for the rest of my life.

I love wine but it wasn't until recently that I started experimenting with it. I don't like dry very much at all but I find that mixing a dry wine with a sparkling cider is usually pretty awesome :)

Don't drink alcohol so it would be a soda for me, not sure what kind as I like so many brands. I know the sugar would probably kill me but I'm like a sodaholic I guess you could say.

Soda is the absolute worst thing for you! Seriously it's terrible for your teeth and body! I haven't had a soda in 4 months. You should really try to quit that habit. Just saying :dunno:

Cider. My weakness. I claim I go to the UK yearly for a gaming convention but it's really just an excuse to top off my cider supply.

I love cider also especially in the winter :)

Good excuse... "Guys, I'm going to England because I'm a gigantic nerd, not because I have a drinking problem"

Hahaha :)

Wait I should have said YOU are my poison, Nikki....Your beauty kills me! :o

Aww maley<3

I agree but water isn't alcoholic :p

I make this really awesome drink that is called Geogia Punch and it's Malibu rum, peach schnapps, orange juice and a splash of cranberry juice. It's delicious!
