Now if they'd only realize they don't need Forsberg around for anything more than his goofy croc sandals they'd be alright.

i think that with forsberg next year, the flyers will be back in the playoffs. do you know what this season is? an aberration. an illusion of sorts. all teams do this. even my beloved huskers. next year clarkie.

Maybe Forsberg will come with Montreal this year;)

could be worse ya know.

I knew you would said that but still Montreal was very good at the beginning of the season but since the "famous" game vs Boston on December 23rd, everything went wrong, Huet is playing bad (He played well yesterday though)
We were 1st on the PK and now we are like 10th, our best scorer is a defense man! We are 3-6-1 in last 10 games!

I have no doubt that Philly will make the playoffs in 07-08. It'll be without Forsberg though. After this debacle I see no use for him to hang around. If he lifts his no trade clause (god willing he does) they should be able to get a solid stud on the blueline and a couple 1st or 2nd round picks out of the deal. Philly has Steve Downie coming into the NHL next season with Claude Giroux a year or so behind him plus Oskars Bartulis and Andreas Nodl are 2 very good Flyers prospects.

I know what you mean...what the hell is going on in Hab-land?!?!! :dunno: It's like we're actually finding ways to lose games.

i was happy when forsberg went to philly. im not sure if im happy or not that he is gone.:dunno:

I'm thrilled. In the long run they'll be better without him. They were good before and they'll be good again. If he didn't want to commit to Philly then he had to go. Absolutely no player is more important than the team.

Go Blackhawks!!

**self-inflicted gunshot**

:o

Phildelphia Flyers

  • Skill? Gone
  • Forsberg? Gone
  • Playoff Hopes? Gone
  • A chance in hell? Gone

...Go Habs

:1orglaugh that's a funny list. This season is well over for them and they have no chance in making the playoffs this year. I knew that back in October. If you honestly think Philly will be a bad team for very long then you're crazy. They have tons of young prospects and plenty of picks in the upcoming draft to help in the very very short "rebuilding process" and now thanks to Peter The Soft leaving they'll also have plenty of money available to use during the free agency period this summer. After 11 straight years of making the playoffs it's actually kind of nice to not have any real expectations.

On to your beloved Habs... they are sitting in 10th with Kovalev out 3 weeks and your boy Huet with an iffy hamstring and not to mention the team's recent struggles. Assuming Montreal does make the playoffs they'll likely be getting bounced out in the first round by Buffalo or Marty and NJ. Good Luck :thefinger

Does anyone else miss the old Bud Lite commercials with Espo, Melrose and Clement Clement hands of cement?
