We are just days away from The Community Shield - meaning days away from the start of the season

Unlike last season I think we revert back to "The Big Boys" taking the top spots. I see T6 being (in some order): City, United, Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham and Liverpool (I know - really going out on a limb)

The only thing I feel safe in saying: Hull City is going to be bad. They won't be "Derby County" bad but they are gonna suck. Few signed players and no Manager. They are a LOCK to be Relegated. I think Burnley joins them in the LC next season, too. 'Boro is gonna be good. I think they will be like Bournemouth last season and really never be in any danger of going down. As for the 3rd team to go down I think it is between: Sunderland, West Brom and Watford. Sundy has David Moyes - WBA has Tony Pulis and I have a "Man Crush" on both and think they both stay up. Watford is a mess and I think they go down, too.

Newcastle will win the LC by a wide margin. They are massive faves and should easily finish #1. Don't think Villa instantly comes back. I could see Norwich once again "yo-yoing" back

Is it that time already, must mean that Summer is coming to an end. Most years I watch Spanish and Italian soccer, but this year I'll focus more on English after what happened with Leicester

If you have a favorite team, do you think your team did a great job on the transfer market?
Just curious as I haven't got a clue (apart from some players) which team bought or sold who....

I don't have a fave team but I don't think anyone has done WORSE than Hull City. They brought in no one, have few players signed and still have NO Manager a week before the season begins. I have them finishing Dead Last and by a large margin

Arsene Wenger needs to spend some money. If he does they can win the PL this season. He won't - so they won't

I saw that Liverpool beat Barca 4 - zero, does that mean that Liverpool are actually good now or that Barca are still on vacation?

Their B3 and my B3 are the same - in that order. Once we start playing people are going to be shocked at just how pitiful Hull is. They might be Derby County awful and might not top the 17 Villa did. I like 'Boro to stay up and like Bournemouth last season - don't think they will really ever be in any relegation danger. I have a massive Man Crush on Eddie Hoew (as well as Tony Pulis). I think Bournemouth is better/just as good as Swansea/WBA/Sundy and could get to about 12-13 and like last season don't think they will ever be in any real relegation danger. Leicester 8 is fair and around where I think they finish. The further they go in the CL the worse they will be in the PL. For Leicester the worst thing that can happen is to finish 3rd in the CL group and get sent to the EL with Thursday games in Timbuk-fucking-tu. Either make the CL group stage or finish 4th - 3rd is the worst

I am OK with the Top part and think City does win although if United win it won't shock me. Won't shock me if Gooners finish outside T4 in what is probably Arsene's last season there

Wow, Hull beating Leicester today. Really sums up the Premier League, on any given day, anyone can beat anyone.

My Top 4 this season;

1. Man United
2. Chelsea
3. Man City
4. Tottenham

I think we learned more about Leicester in that game than we did Hull. Villa won 1-0 at Bournemouth last season in Game 1. How'd it go after that. Hull will get a very rude awakening next week at Swansea and looking at this list I don't see a whole lot of wins coming up down the line: http://www.bbc.com/sport/football/teams/hull-city/fixtures

My Top 4 this season;

1. Man United
2. Chelsea
3. Man City
4. Tottenham

My Top 8 before the season began were:
1. Man City - Last ditch signing of Stones helps improve a vastly underperforming CB core. They have good depth at fullback & have strengthened their attack & midfield. If only they had found a backup for Aguero, then I would have more confidence with them pulling away from the pack. Gungodan, Nolito & Sane are great "underrated" signings (compared to Man U) but all three will be vital in their quest to regain the chip.
2. Man Utd - Pogba, Zlatan & Micki were huge summer signings...HUGE. With Bailly to partner Smalling, Blind being able to play anywhere & Shaw back plus Martial & Rashford - gonna be very hard to beat them.
3. Arsenal - Same old Arsenal. Huge concern with the injuries to start the season in both defense & attack but injuries are nothing new to Arsenal. Neither is coming third lol.
4. Liverpool - Defense still a MAJOR concern but their midfield & attack look very solid & I expect to see them score a lot. Plus Klopp finally got the summer transfer window to bring in a few players to fit his system.
5. Spurs - They've been contenders for a few years now (serious contenders last year) but I do see them struggling to maintain top 4 if all the disappointments from last season (City, Utd, Pool) vastly improve. I expect Arsenal, Pool, Tottenham (Spurs) and Chelsea to battle it out fiercely for Champions League positions (Top 4).
6. Chelsea - Conte helps but team pretty much the same as last year's shit show & that defense will be as loose as Hope Solo's roast beef special. Kante is a good signing that will help settle things in front of the defense & if Hazard regains form then it could be a top 4 finish. But too many ifs to start the season so can't grant them a top 4 finish.
7. Leceister City - Oh how the mighty have (will) fall(en). Last season wasn't luck but they simply dont have the talent (or money) to repeat last year with all the regular contending teams improving. In fact, they may even finish lower than this. No Kante but Musa was a good signing to help Mahrez & Vardy in attack. Safe to say though, they won't be competing for the title this time around. Plus now they'll have to go through the rigors of playing Champions League football ... they're toast!
8. West Ham - Payet, Ayew & Antonio will lead a talented attacking midfield & it's just up to oft-injured Carroll to stay on the pitch. Nowhere enough talent to compete but they'll be in the running for a Uefa Europa League spot again.

I think we learned more about Leicester in that game than we did Hull. Villa won 1-0 at Bournemouth last season in Game 1. How'd it go after that. I don't think anyone will take Hull's win too seriously (aside from LC fans lol) because I believe most pundits expect a HUGE decline in form from LC. I'm sure some don't even think they'll finish top 10. For them, it was all a fluke & them winning was a product of everyone else just being plain bad or worse than usual (save for Spurs). Hull's victory does show why the EPL is the best league TOP TO BOTTOM but the problem for the EPL is that the top teams just aren't that good anymore in comparison to the big guns of Spanish football (Real, Barca & Atleti) as well as Bayern, PSG and Juventus. Great improvement is expected from City (who will probably be the only EPL team IN THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE to have a serious chance of making it far) in Europe but given Pep's inability to take a much better Bayern team to the finals, I doubt he'll have much luck with this uneven City side.

Interesting start, not sure how this season will go

Agree. Hull is unbeaten and the T2 teams from last season each have 1 point

Look for Hull to return to reality. Their next 5-6 games are brutal and they will be lucky to get 3 points - total - from them. Looking more and more like the title will reside in Manchester. Red or Blue is all that is up for grabs

Liverpool heading towards the relegation zone. Man Utd three games 9 points. Exactly how I predicted the season to go (so far).

It seems the old Manchester United is back... in terms of the way they play, having a lineup to be fearful of and scoring last minute winners in games they seem destined to drop points.

There is a 0% chance Liverpool gets relegated or anywhere close

Sunderland
Hull
Burnley
Watford
West Brom
Palace

Those will be the teams down there most of the season in the most danger

I disagree, there are many pointers leading towards Liverpool getting relegated.

1. They are shit.
2. I fucking despise the scouse cunts.

If that isn't a good enough reason for them to be relegated I really don't know what is.
