Obama supports building a mosque at ground zero

The secret ingredient? MY BALLS
Not this kind and not in 20 years.

Like I said I've been there and I've said what I'm going to say. And its truth. Bye.

HAHAHAHA, "not THIS kind". Changing your tune now, huh?

And, who cares if you've been there or not. That has nothing to do with the Muslims' right to build a mosque (it's actually a religious center, by the way) or where they choose to build it. They don't even want to build it ON Ground Zero, so what's the problem? There are already dozens of mosques close to Ground Zero, so why not go protest them and cry about how you want them torn down?

Your whining has no merit. Neither does your opinion on this matter.

Your lack of reading skills sucks shit. Can't even comprehend "I don't give a fuck about the mosque".

And forgive me for asking but what's your fuckin problem with me? I've never corresponded with you until just now.

Can anyone here that is opposed to the Mosque give me a legitimate reason they are opposed that does not involve the generalization of the religion by associating it with terrorism?

Nah sorry brah, Islam has already done a fine job equating it's name with murder and terror.

Islam won't change anytime within the next 50-100 years unfortunately. Right now it's in a tailspin with no hope of recovery. They can thank their own zealots for this. The politicization of the religion was the biggest mistake the Imams made back in the early 70s.
First Pan Arabism failed them, then Communism. They figured getting back to the old book was the sure fire way to success. So they began Koran thumping and look where it's lead the religion......to murder and terror. We have the peaceful successful entities/states like: Pakistan, AQ, Taliban, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Sudan, etc etc.
Don't look good fella.

The moderates better do something that doesn't offend us and at the same time battles the growing number of sods.

P.S. Vlad's opinion matters for two reasons. He's an American and he's a vet.

When you speak of Islam, your references are always the Muslims in the Mideast. How about Islam in Indonesia. Islam is the dominant religion and approximately 86%, or about 200 million, of its population identify as Muslims, making it the world's largest Muslim population. If your theory that Islam is the cause of all the radicals how do account for the world's largest concentration of Muslims in Indonesia and very little radical activity. If religion is the cause geography should not matter.

Well Islam in the Far East has been watered down by local customs and culture that pre dates Islam's arrival. Thanks to that Islam has a much better track record.
AQ has used the Philippines, Indonesia and Malaysia as testing grounds but without much success thankfully.

The Philippines which has a large Catholic presence has a military that doesn't play around when it comes to terrorism.

Unfortunately for Malaysia and Indonesia their leaders have a tendency to go "Islam" when their popularity ratings begin dipping.

I'm throwing a penalty flag on this. Over-extending-one's-base-of-knowledge-to-sound-superior. 10 yard penalty and loss of down.

Do you have any proof of Sentence 1 and Sentence 5? Those sound like the kinds of conjecture that get converted to fact which happen with nightly regularity on "The Factor" and Hannity, etc.

In the years since 9/11 nothing has actually been rebuilt at GZ, people have stood idly by and watched a president waste a trillion dollars, 4k dead Americans, countless others maimed and otherwise injured but at the same time a bunch of goobers are rising up to stop a religious group from enjoying their constitutional rights with of all things an American flag in tow.

Some of these clowns wouldn't actually know what it means to be American if they bathed in it for a week.:(

vodkazvictim

Why save the world, when you can rule it?
Aren't their essentially two threads on this subject now?
The sensible thing to do is build a shrine to the memory of the victims on the site (no mention of any religion, just a shrine to their memory) and not build a Mosque in the surrounding area. You wouldn't find me advocating the building of a British embassy within 10 blocks of Abhu ghraid.

He's an American and he's a vet.

Just too bad some who've donned the flag on their uniforms, or a carry it around with them as vets don't fully understand what they were serving to defend.:(

I'm taking that as a generalization and not a personal shot at me. Because its not easy to fight for Islamic rights while they're killing your friends.

It wasn't a shot.

I don't know what operations you were involved in nor what theater but in America the right which is being defended is the right of any religion to practice how they see fit as long as they violate no laws.

I'm not sure what you think you would be defending if not first and foremost America's freedoms... chiefly among them being religious freedom. And that doesn't just mean for Christians, that doesn't just mean for Catholics, that doesn't just mean for Buddhists...it means for anyone to safely practice ANY religion.

Islam wasn't killing your friends, the people you were sent to fight against were. Now if you think you were sent to fight Islam..then you don't even know the basics of the policy you were sent to supposedly implement.

That's fact not conjecture. Arab Islam was watered down by local pre Islamic culture and religious beliefs in the Far East.

Malaysia's prime minister and Indonesia's current President (and former Pres. Suharto) have gone "Islamic" in areas of the country where their popularity has dipped to shore up support. There was an article in the NYT about this last week.

It's hard to explain but there is almost no way to tell the difference between good and evil over there. That's why we have all the check points and try to keep these people at a distance at all times. I was an MP which means a lot more in an MZ than people might think. It also involves an automatic secret security clearance.

The *psychotic libs have found their niche alright:

The enemy (muslims) of their enemy -> (self sufficient - limited government - free enterprising - christian value oriented) is their friend.

Have fun with that . . . douchies

*(not all libs mind you, just the psychotic ones)

How is that different from being able to tell the difference between a good and evil anyone anyplace?
