I don't have a problem if either Obama or Bush were golfing, just so long as they make sound decisions, which includes on how money in the executive branch is spent, regardless of how much congress allows them.
If Obama's golfing involves a great expense to the American people, with flying to destinations and huge security details, then he needs to cut back.
With the state of things, I think that Obama should show some leadership and take a pay cut, as well as cut spending across the government.

Not that I am defending the guy but do you realize the presidential salary is only 400,000 annually. Not a big chink of money in terms of how much he will make when he is done his term. His spend habits far out weigh his salary.
On a side note he is also given 50,000 for expense (I.E. golfing or in GWB's case trips to the family ranch)

I absolutely agree with you. Also the fact that after his Obama Care is put into action he will be pushing the Global Warming debate, To which I ask why did he fly to Colorado to sign the stimulus package? Why was this not done in Washington where it was created?
Again not siding with the White House I just think the scrutiny behind the president making "less" is a weak argument. The Minimum NHL salary is like 475,000 per year just to put it into perspective for everyone.
Truth is govt salaries even at the very top like President at a few hundred grand would be considered chump change by the high flyers in the corporate world on wall st and at the banks.They are getting in many cases 10s to 100s of millions in salary.
good for Obama, he should also practice meditation and some yoga to help him alleviate stress that's built up from all the mess he inherited from Bush
