Plus the military, like I've said in other threads, has sworn an oath to the constitution, not to a single man. So an order from whoever occupies the White House for them to assault a peaceful demonstration by their own fellow countrymen and crush all opposition to the party in power would be an illegal order and the troops cannot and should not obey it. While I think comparing anyone to Hitler is a bit sophmoric, I would say that for those who used similar attacks on Bush, the Bush/Cheney people are responsible for thousands of lost lives, Americans and others, and they did indeed use reprehensible tactics, including torture, that would invite comparisons to other non-democratic regime leaders.

What I find amusing about the hoopla about Obama is that he has basically been a somewhat right-of-center President thus far -- certainly not a liberal by my definition -- and there has been nothing even close to socialism in his policies. The extreme right-wing have moved the center over the past decade, so a reactionary like John McCain is actually considered a "moderate." Very funny indeed. As to Hitler, Jan Brewer in Arizona would be a closer candidate than many, but again comparing anyone to Hitler -- except Hitler -- is somewhat moronic. And of course if you look up Tea Party in a dictionary of reality you get: moronic.

Obama has been nothing close to socialism? How about the gigantic deficit he has racked up? I admit these figures may be a bit skewed since I heard them on Rush Limbaugh's program, but according to his figures, George Bush left office with a deficit of approximately $110 Billion after 8 years.

During a year and a half in office, Barrack Hussein Obama, the guy who "has shown nothing even close to socialism" has increased that deficit to $2.4 trillion. That averages out to 5 Billion Dollars Per Day of spending. :eek:

I'm not in the habit of quoting Rush Limbaugh, but even if those numbers are even in the ball park, it's pretty bad.

All I know is that I sure haven't benefited one bit by Barrack Hussein Obama's his so-called "stimulus" package. Where is it all going? Another good question to ask is "what has been accomplished with all this spending?"
