Reverse the roles - If a republican - American African were to become President Elect, and, in turn, had displayed the same vigor as Obama, with the pronouncement of the use of EOs in the first 24 hours of his or her (yes I said her :tongue: ya never know) term, all fuggin hail would break loose.

Yeah I voted for Obama, half the country did and I don't think we are ALL sheeple, but a lot of people do not use critical thinking skills and do believe the party line ( any party ) without fact checking for themselves.

No B.S. here I would truly be grateful if you could prove any one of the supposed lies that helped influence my decision to vote for Obama over McCain.
My decision was based on a philisophical belief that Obama would try to help the middle class and the under class and McCain would continue to try to help the wealthy and corporations in a hopes of more trickle down economics.
I do appreciate the fact that we can have a political discussion with out all the ****, fear and bigotry so often involved.

the right investigated all those issues (tenuous as some of them may have been) and hammed them up to the nth degree, to try and bring him down.

Willy I know your mind is already made up regarding Obama, but I am pretty tired of you attacking him without a reliable source backing you up. Just say "You can find it on Youtube" isn't good enough. All politicians stretch the truth in order to win votes and none of them have ever deliver 100% of their campaign promises so your accusing him of being a liar is very harsh and irrational. Even if he delivers everything he said it will not make you happy since you disagree with his policies from the get go. I Think Barrack Obama is going to make a good president and will be right down the middle on most issues and he will support the troops and the veterans as he did today.

I have a buddy who got cancer, caught in the early stages and Stem Cells (HIS OWN) did a LOT toward helping him beat the cancer.
The answer is not EMBRYO stem cells, it is mature ADULT stem cells. There is a very real possibility and hope in that.

That's exactly where the research is being done. Stem cells were originally discovered in embryos and umbilical cords, but that isn't even the most prevalent grouping of production. Cancer research is certainly working with stem cells, but the biggest work I see is in neurological fields- though the differing researchers do share info and even technicians from time to time.

My question is why REVERSE the domestic drilling? There is no reason other than to drop MORE OF our energy needs on the middle east, thereby causing more oil price gouging, the VERY THING he railed against when he was promising to "get the money from those evil oil companies".
Tell me again why this is a good idea.
Just remember, when asked about the price of gas back when the 4 dollar barrier was crossed, our president elect just answered "I would have preferred a more gradual adjustment". I read that as he as indifferent to one of the biggest problems that normal working people, whom he claims to represent, were facing. To him it is an ADJUSTMENT, Meaning that is where it should be ANYWAY.
Well it is either a problem for the American oil companies to make a profit, which doesn't fall inline with the line of thinking expressed in his own words, or he is in the bag for someone in the oil business, and stands to get kickbacks, Or the normal American work a 40 hour week is dirt on his shoes now that he is the ruler of the kingdom.
Either way you cut this, it isn't good for the average person.
So much for my optimism for this guy.

He better not fuck with homeland security thinking he knows better and opens up to get hit again, I really wish him well when it comes in having all these agencies doing everything he can to keep this country safe.
