This is a bigger issue than just sex since prostitution is clearly illegal. Vitter should be forced to resign just as Spitzer was.
As far as the Times though, all this story shows is that they are first concerned with showing important news stories then with their bias. It does not show, however, that when possible, they adopt a huge leftist bias. Additionally, the news media has been largely showing their bias with this story. Instead of calling Spitzer a hypocrite for hiring a prostitute while he was so anti-corruption and a prosecutor as the media would point out about a conservative, they instead only discussed what a "tragedy" it is. I agree its a tragedy for his family but that shithead brought it on himself

:tongue:1. Eliot Spitzer is so stupid to use his own account in NY to transfer large sum to HSBC account in NY. A total of $80,000.00. This large sum will sure alert the bank to call the IRS Criminal Investigation Team and then called the FBI and then get the NY Attorney General to OK wiretapping.
2. Spitzer even used his cellphone to make the call. Although Spitzer thought he can use a donor's name to check into Mayflower Hotel, the FBI was already there to wiretap everything.
3. My personal experience is in some case, the FBI actually set up the sting operation to trap high profile politicans (as in Washington D.C. mayor Berry smoking pot !)
4. Why did Spitzer used a prostitute all the way from NY City when he was in Washington D.C. ? WHY? I don't understand why Spitzer is so stupid.
