Re: the Official Nikki Nova thread
Vern, I agree with you 100%! I am however an unusual case. Nikki won me over with her friendship, intelligence, rationality, realness, and kick ass persona 1st! For me, everything else (like the fact that she is smoking hottt too!), is gravy!!! Like I said in my previous post...I, for one consider myself fortunate that circumstances came together that allowed for our paths to cross! It is just another example of how something good can arise from something bad (my heart attack)! Had the bad not happened...it is highly unlikely that I would have ever come across Nikki...much less be fortunate enough to have her friendship (which, though we really only started "talking" in November...I have come to really value)! I still have my "issues," and I definitely tried people's patience there for a while (online and in real life), but I already see myself growing as a person...and I truly owe that in large part to Nikki and her friendship and tutelage! Though, I got a great report the last time I saw my cardiologist...would I rather have not had a heart attack, especially at such a relatively young age? Of course! However, when I factor in the fact that I would not have even come across Nikki otherwise...in some strange way it seems more like my heart attack had an even greater purpose...even more than just giving me a swift kick in the pants and a major wake up call...I got to meet an incredibly awesome woman too!!! Almost over night, I have gone from a belief that I was going to die sooner rather than later (glass half empty), to a belief that I still have most of my life ahead of me (glass half full)! Believe me when I say this...I owe a lot of that change in mindset to Nikki! I know I am preaching to the choir in here...BUT, believe me when I say that Nikki is truly an amazing person!
ps. A big thank you to everyone for not making fun of the little "hick" town where I grew up! I'm glad I've moved on...but I am honest enough to admit that that little town helped shape me and it will always be a part of who I am! Ha ha ha!
