First of all hello. It's usally a nice thing to say when you have never met and spoken to someone especially when you are coming into their official thread and have never bothered speaking to them before at all and you come on and dive right into arguing w/them about something without even saying hello first. Just a thought. Now as my dear friend jbs has already pointed out most of the relevant issues , there is no need too waste much of my time arguing with some random who literally just came into my thread to argue about something I was not even discussing with him. I did not say he was in trouble as you so incorrectly communicated. I said that he should BE CAREFUL in the future when doing so (altering a copywritten image) because it is TECHNICALY illegal. Most people will let what is considered "fant art" slide if it is non-offensive and doesn't change what the person is doing in the picture. That being said however it is in fact a copywritten image and technically is not allowed to be altered or even used without consent of the owner. Now as I just pointed out usually these things are let go as long as it is not altered in such a way that is offensive or disprespectful or even worse...completely untrue. An example of that would be if a person took a photo of someone and had them doing a hardcore act when not doing one in the real photo. Another example would be having that person saying something really offensive or something that they would never say and be offended that someone was making them say. Another example is if someone altered their appearance etc and so on. Now in the future when you feel the need to come into my thread DO try to be a bit more courteous or don't come in at all. I wasn't speaking to you first of all and you come in here , having never been here before, don't even so much as say hello and start arguing with me about laws that I am not only EXTREMELY familar with because I live and work in them everyday and have for almost 15 years but also have an attorney who deals with this kind of thing ALL THE TIME Patrick. Oh yes...and...I was NOT talking to YOU in the first place. I was also not in any way shape or form being unkind or rude to the person that I WAS talking to. I even said it was "cute" and just gave him some advice of "be careful though" in the future and why so that he wouldn't cross one of the lines I just mentioned and not get into unnecessary trouble or headaches because he was unaware of the law. I was being cool "Patrick".

It´s not illegal and he´s in no legal trouble whatsoever. What he´s doing would fall under the "fair use" exempt from normal copyright laws. More here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fan_art

1). Skittles fizzies are my preference and why can't you just buy the fizzy powder and put it on any candy? That would make BILLIONS!!!

Because most people would turn that powder into an illegal substance


2). What's the internet equivalent to border patrol and how can I get me some law enforcement on my thread to keep the "unwanteds" out? hahaha

hmm. I suppouse the Mods could help with that or you can just insult them. Sooner or later they wil get the message.



3). Is America becoming even MORE rediculous over the past 5 years or am I just seeing it that much clearer after that whack on the ol' noggin?

Yeah, but at least it makes me laugh once in a while




4). am I the only one that hates the term "settling down"? It implies that one was going wild beforehand and somehow the word settle seems a bit insulting to ones choice. Just sayin...

I'm in my 30's single and I just joined a band. I think Im as settled as Im gonna be




5). Why have I been eating a pound and a half of Okra for 9 days straight? I have been craving okra like crazy. I do that with food. Always have. I went through a lima bean phase that lasted a couple of years. Oh and there was that cucumber decade. I don't see others with these wierd food patterns. WTF?

umm is that whale food? I dont know what that is.



6). Genocide has happened throughout history many times over but why not idiocide? I would love to rid the world of all of the idiots and it would really help the population control issue as well. Just sayin...

But without the idiots we wouldnt have shows like The Jersey Shore, THe real housewives of Atlanta and Fox News. nor would we have shows like The Daily SHow and The Soup to make fun of them



7).I really wanna hang with Stewie Griffin for a day or so. That would be cool.

Well if you can hang out with animated characters maybe I can get something goin with the girls from Josie and The Pussycats



8) Why are people so fascinated with the McRibb?

All i was trying to do was clear things up regarding the laws about fan art, and how they´re implemented. This is something i know a bit about since i have been making fan art for about 6 years (i have also been making wallpapers, banners and other graphics for quite a few models sites). I know your response was about the poster posted by someone else but since i posted a wallpaper in one of the previous posts the subject was something that affected me as well. Oh, well, whatever. I won´t be posting any more in your thread since you obviously don´t want me here, and i´m sorry if i offended anyone in my attempt to clear things up regarding fan art laws.

there are two ways to post a saved picture. one as an attachment is the easy way, but i think only Nikkis supposed to do on the thread. or two upload it to a image hosting site and then post it from there

Yeah that was what I was thinking, but I don't have an image hosting account and don't know any. If you give me one, I will see if I can muck my way through. Ricky's drawings are worth it.
