Im sorry to say but i find this sounding like a scam she does porn for a long time now and she is one of the most populair so she should have enough money to cover it,or does porn pay that bad.

I just spent 4 days in the hospital getting all sorts of tests done and for treatment of a blood condition and diagnosis of other things (nothing life threatening, thank God) - many people don't realize how expensive the slightest thing is in the hospital (particularly in the USA where medicine is basically completely privatized). I had an ultra-sound....there went several thousand dollars. I had a CT scan - another several thousand dollars. Intravenous antibiotics - couple hundred dollars per bag, and they were running constantly. The room itself - 2,000 a day. Over 20 blood tests and samples, each averaging $300. And every time a doctor stops in to see you and examine you, they bill you at least a half an hour's exam fee, just for stopping in. Needless to say, they can be very attentive when they want to be. Luckily, I have medical insurance through my employer. The problem is that many things are often not "covered" by insurance companies, or they are covered, but the insurance company just denies claims out-of-hand and you have to fight to get them paid.
As Crissy and asianxxxchick stated above, being an entertainer/model/porn performer, etc. doesn't mean you're wealthy or preclude you from cashflow issues. Even mainstream business people who make lots and lots of money also have money issues - debt for home, cars, childcare, food, and everyday expenses.
What this all really comes down to, and I suppose the point I'm trying to make here, is that Nikki's situation brings to light a very important idea that people who do not have medical insurance should think very carefully about - catastrophic care insurance. It's relatively affordable and covers huge accidents like these. For some people who never get ill, have no kids or spouse, and who do not normally have a need for medical insurance (although everyone should try to get it, IMO), catastrophic care insurance is something very important to contemplate buying. Some people struggle to keep gas in their car, if they have a car, and to keep food on the table and a roof over their head, gutte. People of all walks of life go through all sorts of twists and turns in life, and judging them does not help them - helping them helps them to help themselves.
I certainly wasn't planning on going to the hospital 2X in the last 2 months, but I had to. Now I have medical bills I cannot really pay at the moment, even though I have medical insurance, and needless to say my employer probably isn't thrilled with my absences from work. But, to be indelicate, "shit happens." You have to do what you have to do sometimes to survive.

As Crissy, Nightfly, and darkman all previously stated ... accidents can happen anyhere at anytime; this is why they are called "accidents". They are unforeseen occurences that crop up without any kind of forewarning or foreknowledge. Sometimes people just aren't prepared to handle life-threatening emergencies; be it via financial circumstances, lack of planning, or just plain ol' out and out apathy.
I'm glad you're prepared. Hey, I applaud you. You're one step ahead of the game.
Yet and still, you have absolutely no right nor due cause to sit here and make judgment calls about a woman lying in an ICU ward hooked up to machines that are monitoring her very life signs. Dude, she had a very severe, potentially life-threatening accident ... it happens. And I would think that you, as a human, in the very least, would be able to sit here and at least show some compassion and kindness instead of trying to cause a needless argument.
Now, if you want to debate medical and insurance issues and topics, I kindly and respectfully suggest you create a thread detailing such and I will gladly - no willingly - engage you in that debate. Until that singular moment comes to pass, I wholeheartedly and emphatically suggest that you hold your tongue, be mindful of what you say in this thread, and try your very damnedest to show a little f**king compassion and tenderness for a fellow human being who is seriously injured.

I Live in Canada and here thank-fully we have a health care system but as AsianxxxChick, Nightfly, and Crissy said, not everyone has everything..not everybody can afford health care..i have a decent job doesnt mean i can afford a massion...Just because somebody in the adult industry is in adult buiness donest mean they live a glamouras life, and everything is perfect like in their photoshoots...adult entertainers are people and they have accidents and are not millionaires...Nikki needs help do you think she is scamming?...she needs the support and finacial help that friends and fans can offer...do you think she likes the idea of asking for help no...I think the best way we can help her is with support and show her she is in out thoughts and prayers...

"Nov. 9th, 2005 - 11:04am - Nikki is doing better today. Each day has shown slow improvement. But as of late last night, they moved her out of the ICU and moved to another specialty area but it is more of a standard room. So that is all very good news. There are still a couple things they are watching. She'll have another CT Scan tomorrow and then we'll go from there. She is alert and talking, just a lot of on and off sleeping. At least she's out of the ICU. More updates to come..."
