He gets traded to Pittsburgh last season and loses to Detroit in the finals.No cup.
Then he goes to "Hockeytown" for another shot at the cup,plays the team that he just left,gets to the finals,and again,NO CUP!
Man,is that guy bad luck or what?
I thought that Detroit was gonna win prior to the game,but they just came out and played about 80-90% uninspired hockey.They couldn't break through Pittsburgh's defense,and they made two crucial defensive mistakes that cost them the cup.
The Pens really earned this one and totally did it the hard way.Good for them.
By the way,don't mistake this for me complaining or anything,but is it just me or did it look like the second goal by Talbot hit off of the cross bar?
Was it just me or could anyone else not her a single word that the anouncers were saying for most of the game?
Maybe they all need new mics or something,because the their audio was atrocious.

Fair enough bout the unwritten rules of profile engagement , I am not posting about my team, so its OK for me to post, so why is my opinion prove that I am not gracious in defeat?
I congratulated the PENGUINS, the whole PENGUINS team, that means ALL of the players and all of the pens fans. So why because I have my Opinions about especially about Cindy and then, to a lesser degree and somewhat malkin.
I think Malkin is the best player on the pens and he should be captain, and he has way more heart than Cindy IMO, so again how am I NOT gracious in saying that? So that's why I say You my friend are WRONG.
I am man enough to admit the PENS deserved the cup, I admit the Pens were the better team, and I congratulated the WHOLE team and all of their fans, so why does my opinion prove I am not gracious in my teams defeat, and my personal disappointment?
I am entitled to my opinions, just cuz YOU don't like my opinion or AGREE with my opinion does that make me ungracious in defeat, remember opinions are like A$$holes, everybody has one, I didn't like Cindy before, NEVER have, and NEVER will, so what? where does any of that prove I am not gracious when I congratulated Cindy and malkin?

Don't even sweat it brotha. We ALL know the PENS got some gift calls or NON CALLS that directly led to goals that shouldn't have counted all through out the Stanley Cup Finals, and even the PENS fans have to admit that, so we came a few crooked CALLS or NON CALLS from winning back 2 back Championships.
:thumbsup: :hatsoff:Ryan Malone didn't have a choice. for whatever crazy reason, the Penguins didn't choose re-sign him. Bugsy has said he was hoping his old friends from the Pens would win this Cup. the others, may be a bit flummoxed at their choice to leave.

Hung out and drank beer with Barry Trotz for about two hours last night. Fun night. It was the Roger Nielsons Coaching Clinic held annually in Windsor at the hotel I work at. I mentioned I met a couple other guys too the night before. I also met Wendell Young. He played for the Pens when they won in '91 and '92. He was wearing a pretty huge Stanley Cup ring too.
A friend of mine is an assistant coach for a womens hockey team here in Windsor and Barry Trotz is going to be sending him breakdown videos of Nashvilles defensive zone schemes. Pretty awesome.

Maybe a little but in Ryan Malone's case I think all the money he is making with the Lightning makes everything better. And if Tampa keeps Vinny for next season I think they will be back in the playoffs.

True. The Pens didn't attempt to sign Malone because they didn't think they could afford him. I can't blame Malone going for the money either. With that said, the one thing the Pens could have used in front of the net this year was a big guy like Malone.

Detroit CHOKED. They were up 2-0. All they had to do was win 2 of 5 games. 1971 was the last time a team up 2-0 didn't win the finals. Detroit blew it. No excuses.
BTW, I'll give Detroit fans credit for being good sports and staying for the Cup ceremony but it was totally classless of them to boo Bettman.
