Hello Sexy girl how your Toes doing?
I'm still wondering how Ovechkin didn't get a penalty for it. He's not getting a suspension, either (Colin Campbell confirmed that today). Is this another case of a sports league coddling its stars? :crash:

While in most cases I would say yes, but Ovechkin ISN'T a dirty player! he is a VERY PHYSICAL super star aka Joe Thornton type player!! AO is the best all around super star in the league IMHO!! I think AO is way better than crosby!!

AO has got more talent, more heart, and way more intensity than crosby will ever have!! plus he doesn't play like a timid little wussy prima donna like crosby does!! Ovechkin will even drop the gloves!! you gotta respect that!! so no I don't think AO made the hit too be dirty, and I don't think he's being treated special!!

Perhaps if their was a penalty called immediately it may have been subject for review and or suspension but ovechkin DOESN'T have a bad rep for dirty hits, if he did or was known to strecch the rules and or trying to hurt a guy I'd say your right!! but in this case NO!! :2 cents::hatsoff:

lol sorry, I just now saw the game highlights.

Oh and that Ovechkin hit was completely legal, the guy just put his head down as vech was coming in.

:D

yeah, i didn't see a reason to call a penalty. Hewie had looked back and seemed to be about to shift his position as the hit came. it was legal and i don't blame Alex for that. just a wrong place, wrong time kinda thing

That's one thing that the league should crack down on. The players who intentionally turn to draw a checking from behind penalty.

There is a lot of action going on in Montreal. Injuries are still going on strong on us this year and not less than 4 players have been called up from Hamilton, including one of our top prospect (Max Pacioretti, who scored yesterday at his first ever NHL game) and goaltender Marc Denis (who defended the net in the 3rd period yesterday against NJ).

A counterperformance yesterday against New Jersey ended by a 4-1 loss.

Injured players list including Saku Koivu, Georges Laraque, Alex Tanguay, Carey Price, Chris Higgins, Mathieu Dandenault and few others.

For some reasons i dont know yet, Ryan O'Byrne have been send to the minors without going throught the waivers... We have kept him on the NHL for at least all december because he was waivers eligible

Sidenote to non-Habs fan: it's the right time to face the Habs, our team is really weakened by injuries and our confidence level is pretty low.

:dunno: Whats with the All star teams this year? They suck hard, there is no variety. There are a total of four teams represented in the starting lineup, what the hell? If I wanted to watch the Blackhawks play the Canadiens, I'd watch that game, not the All Star game.

yeah, i will not be watching anything except the skills contest this year.

the fans shouldn't have a say in the lineup. it should be voted on by the rest of the league

The All Star Game is supposed to showcase the best, not the most popular. The Canadiens fans ruined it this year, even if it is only the starting lineup. The only players that deserve to be on the starting lineup in the east is Crosby, Malkin and maybe Price. And not to mention that any All Star starting lineup without Ovechkin is a joke.

I believe it may be due to a waiver-free period. I'm sure there is a window to move players without going through the waivers.

dammit! Meszaros just took a deflected slapshot to the face. our veteran defense is decimated now. things are gonna get worse for the Lightning...

Get well Jamie Heward (from Sabres fan)

what sucks about that hit was that they are former teammates

Ovechkin always gets away with this crap ( gave cheap shot to Briere a few years ago) :ban:

Someone finally beat the Bruins. Sabres win 4-2

Don't blame Montreal fans to have spoiled the popular contest... I mean, it's the way things are decided which sucks and it isnt our fault :o

At least, it's only 5 players by associations which are choosen that way, so everyone else going is there because they deserve it.

To be honest, Price might be one of the 3 goalies deserving to be there but i'm not even sure about that. Kovalev went throught 20 games without scoring so even if he is dominant as we speak, he had an horrible season so far. Markov and Komisarek are both star players in my books. While Markov is inconsistent this year (might be worthy of the all-star game but not as the 1st star), Komisarek missed a whole month due to an injury...

Habs are strong in team - i don't think a single player is starring this year. Maybe Markov is the one most deserving to be there. :dunno:

That popularity contest sucks. Do you guys remember last year when a campain supporting Rory Fitzpatrick (which was the 7th Canucks defensemen last season) almost made him an All-Star player? Fans mocks the way it works and Gary Bettman is sleeping on his two ears... like always.

Let's hope the rest of the selection will be made with intelligence, and players who will be choosen will deserve to be there. There is just no merit to be popular, those guys earned nothing... You should have to earn your place for the All-Star game in my opinion.

You are surely right. I can't see anything else to explain O'Byrne not being waived when sent down.

Florida Panthers 5 vs Montreal Canadien 6 (SO)

One of those games... Florida took the lead 2-0 after 1 period. Habs came back in the second with 4 consecutive goals to take the lead 2-4. Florida and Montreal exchanged a goal in the first minutes of the 3rd period to make the score 3-5.

Florida managed to score in the middle of the 3rd, 4-5. And finally managed to tie the game with less than 2 minutes left to play, 5-5.

The only scorer in the shoutout was the game-winner: a superb move by Andrei Markov who pushed the puck between Craig Anderson legs. 6-5 SO win for the Habs.

Halak have been shaky. Hopefully, Price is supposed to be back from his injury for next game (along with Koivu). Halak is a solid second goalie but he is lacking that little something to become a real number 1 in the NHL...

after taking a slapshot to the face last night, Andrej Meszaros is playing in this game today. he needed 64 stitches to close his injuries, but he is playing. Lukas Krajicek has also returned to the lineup for TB. thank god, our defense was getting way to inexperienced with these injuries. now we need Paul ranger back and Heward when he recovers from that concussion.
