Hopefully none of you had the bad fortune of watching that Calder Cup finals game tonight which was won by The Hershey squirts. It was a lopsided game. I will say this about the Hershey squirts' fans: they lead the AHL in attendence and are by all acounts great fans. In a town of 12,000 to put 10K or so in the stadium every night is pretty damn impressive. This is PA, too. Unlike the 2,000 that went to the semi's game 6 in Hamilton.

Oh yeah, no wonder why the Caps' are so good, the Hershey team was damn good. Saw John Carlson play tonight - first time since his goal in the NHL playoffs. Kid has a bright future I think.

I would like to see how Borque's son developes over the years as well. Good game though, I am happy that I have NHLHD now!

And by continuing to denigrate the BEARS after they win the Calder Cup (for the 11th time, most of any AHL franchise, btw), your credibility goes down the toilet. Yeeesh! :crash:

How many times have you called them the Squirts in the last few days, big guy?

I guess you don't understand (bad) comedy? Lighten up man. Did I just not hail them in the last post you quoted me in? I think they sure as shit are better than the Hamilton know-it-alls and a helluva lot of other AHL teams. That's a very impressive thing to do (re-read my post).

For me it was personal: I had what is basically a family member in that series that lost. I wanted to see a ring.

Anyone see the list of the top 50 free agents on Yahoo Sports?

Now they need to pick up a couple of reliable defensemen, I wouldn't mind seeing Dan Hamhuis picked up by the Bruins he's only 27 and has only missed 9 games in the six seasons he's played. Or get Joe Corvo from the Capitals on their defense...the Bruins cannot constantly rely on Chara and dare I say it Dennis Wideman.

Rangers too, they've only got 5 picks. Who the hell did they get by giving away their 3rd rounder?

yeah yeah. Toronto gave away rounds 1, 2, 4, AND 6!

I swear, I'm a fucking idiot, and I could run that franchise better than the twat-hating cock-holsters doing it now.

The Montreal Canadiens have traded Jaroslav Halak to the ST.Louis Blues for 2 prospects.

I think it's clear that even though he played very well this season and had a phenomenal playoffs , Halak's value wasn't very high. Getting only a former 2007 first rounder and a third rounder in 2008 is not much. But I'm still not convinced that Halak can be a #1 goalie for a full season of at least 60 games.

Well, my cousin is going to love that move. If Halak isn't just a one hit wonder, St. Louis is going to be scary in a year or two.
