I was looking for the NHL thread but I stumbled upon this Tampa Bay Lightning thread by accident. Just kiddin guys. I wish the Rangers would do something so I'd have something talk about. :(

well, you got the Boogey Man. now maybe Gaborik won't have to fight Carcillo by himself ;)

Get used to it. It'll be like this until Tampa doesn't make it to the playoffs.

With atlanta getting better it just makes the southeast division stronger now we will have 4 out 5 teams that are good GO BOLTS!

I expect the Canes to be stronger again this year. Last year they got off to such a horrible start. They will be younger, faster and, hopefully, hungry. If Ward can stay healthy, they can be a factor.

People usually mock the SE division, but the Canes, Bolts, and Caps have a ton of talent and/or chemistry.

I agree with you that the SE Division has talented teams but with the exception of Washington and Carolina, the fanbase is terrible for Florida, Atlanta, and Tampa Bay.

According to Los Angeles' general manager, Kovalchuk turned down a deal with the Kings.

Enjoy the KHL, Kovy!

Its not a good trend if we start losing more and more Eastern European players to the KHL. IMO.

Hey, if Kovy wants to believe that he is worth more money than Crosby or Ovechkin, let him. The only place he is going to get the kind of money he wants is in the KHL (or if the Islanders really, really want him), and if he wants to put up with playing in a second-rate league just for the money, let him go. He'll never be considered one of the world's elite players in a year or two if he does.

It will be cool once they start getting the all stars from both the KHL and NHL to place games. I can see that happening, although Bettman would not like to even give them recognition most likely.
