Think we saw the best hockey of the season and that might hold true even into the finals who knows.

Glad the wings came back and made it 7 games. Grats on the Sharks though i wish some of the fans I've run into on other boards and chat weren't so horrible to listen to. I wouldn't mind seeing Tampa go all the way for Yzerman. However I wanted him to face his old team but oh well. I'd also like to see Boston do something since its been so long.

anyways, Congrats Sharks.

Long live the Wings!

Just checking at NHL.com it says that Crosby has not worked out in quite some time.

Do you think this will be the end of the career of quite possibly one of the greatest hockey players to ever play the game? He won a gold medal with the Canadian Hockey team and then won the Stanley Cup the same year.

I am going to be rooting for the Red Wings tonight, but I'm not going to watch it, because it will be too stressful for me.

Pretty terrible if he never plays like the legend that he is again.

P.S. The Blackhawks won the Cup in 2010 (the Olympic year). Crosby and the Penguins won in 2009 (the year before).

Nikkala made me do it!
Canucks: last trip to the Cup Final in 1994, no Cups :crash:
Bruins: last trip to the Cup Final in 1990, last Cup in 1972 :crash:
Sharks: ZERO trips to the Cup Final :crash:

So in this case I'd root against the Bolts, since they won in 2004. But they hit rock bottom 30th in 2008, so that's out the window! :dunno:

This is NICE!

next year's Winter Classic will feature the New York Rangers @ Philadelphia Flyers at Citizens Bank Park

that is by far an away better than Washington vs. Pittsburgh

on an unrelated note, shit. NHL.com has run an EA Sports simulation of the playoffs to predict winners of series. it's gone 11-1 so far and is predicting Boston to beat Tampa.

i can't believe what i'm about to post, but:

Awful news: Derek Boogaard was found dead today in his Minneapolis apartment by members of his family. He was 28. #mnwild #nyrangers 26 minutes ago via web Retweeted by TSNBobMcKenzie and 100+ others

Is it just me or do their fans come off a bit hostile (to the team)? Seems I'm hearing booing all the time for the most trivial shit.

Bruins fans are flat out classless. Boston, Montreal and Philadelphia fans all are.

i'm not saying Lightning fans are perfect angels, but we're not overwhelming dicks

Seems to me the order of loyalty in the B goes:

Sox
Pats
Celtics
Bruins

Minus the college teams of course. I will never forget the boos I heard last year when they collapsed and lost to the Flyers. I can understand being upset about something like that, but getting on them for developing the extra man really iritates me. I damn near strangled someone at a Wild game this year because they kept booing the team for developing a critical extra man oppurtunity. That shit drives me nuts when people try to coach from the stands.
