Or maybe they were just tougher back then (or maybe we, as societies are too pussy now). Who knows how many unlisted injuries there have been in hockey history. I'm pretty sure I received at least one (probably two) concusions when I was still active not long ago (I still can see these hits). I was too embarased to ask for help myself.

Yeah, hockey players are still and always will be the toughest. :thefinger

I agree 110%. Did ya see what I posted earlier this week?

Good game. SJ goes up 1-0 on Detroit. Can't wait to see how this series turns out.

That was a good game Wings need the next one

That was a good game. Wings played great besides that 2 minute span in the 1st.

WTF was the deal with Setoguchi getting all the calls? He slashes Franzen across the face and Franzen gets called? B.S. Led to a goal too.

2 days rest and Detroit wins one on the road. San Jose didn't impress me tonight.

I completely agree with everything you say. The Wings showed that they're a better team, they were just tired (and if you try to say that's BS then you weren't watching because it was obvious that their legs were dragging), I think it's kind of BS that they had to play only two days after Game 7 against the Coyotes, Boston-Philadelphia or Chicago-Vancouver could've started first, those teams were all rested, it put the Wings at an unfair disadvantage.

The tripping call on Franzen when he got high-sticked and drew blood was such horrible officiating. It should've been a 4-minute double-minor on Setoguchi and a diving penalty on Setoguchi. Then that high-sticking call on Filppula less than a minute later should've been another diving penalty on Setoguchi. What a little bitch.

Detroit wins the next four.

I think it will be pens hawks in finals it should be a great second round of the playoffs I still cant believe that the canadiens beat the capitals i am happy about that

I was cracking up when the announcer said "that's one of those plays where Setoguchi gets hit on the wrist and suddenly his legs stop working."

Looks like Betteman is fixing another cup this year, because Gary Betteman presents Sidney Crosby featuring the Pittsburgh Penguins (which is now the team's official name) took a win from Montreal.

What happened? I didn't get to see it.

Well Pitt won 5-3, they finally found a way to crack Halak's armour, however I think Staal got injured. Now in no way am I a Habs fan but I want them to eliminate Pittsburgh from the cup because a Canadians vs. Bruins division finals must commence. And I am just getting sick of seeing Detroit and Pittsburgh every year in the finals.

Unfortunately I think we have a dynasty brewing here. :weeping:

Used to be back in the day, you could send your goons out to take out the other teams best player. God, how I miss that. If the Flyers were actually the Broad Street Bullies, they'd send half the Penguins to the hospital every night they played.

God, I miss the seventies. :(

Gretz changed all that. He was hands off. Couldn't touch 'im.

Yeah, but if NHL 93 taught me anything, it's that when he did get hit, he went down like a chump.

"Oh, you got checked Wayne? You say you'll be out for a month?"

That reminds me & this is no shit, he was on the Rangers & he got into a "fight" his first & last, he took a swing, completely missed, almost hit himself in the face and fell on his ass! :rofl2:
