Well the Bruins have to get through the Broadstreet Bullies first, and well Montreal has to beat Pittsburgh. But yes as a resident in Boston a B's/Habs conference finals would be great.

:nono:

As a Flyers fan, I will ask you not to call the current team the Broad Street Bullies. The 70s Flyers are the only team deserving of that name.

:nono:

King Henrik, Sid the Kid, and Ovie nominated for the Hart.

Personally, I think it's complete rubbish that neither Ryan Miller nor Ilya Bryzgalov were nominated. In my opinion, they are the two most deserving candidates for the MVP.

As it is, of the three nominees, I have to go with King Henrik. He really stepped up when his brother was out, Luongo was rather lacklustre this season, especially after the Olympics, and he did lead the league in scoring. I love Sid the Kid, but King Henrik had the better season. Ovechkin should get zero votes.

Not just because I'm a Pittsburgh fan, but because he deserves the Hart Trophy...Crosby gets my vote.

Henrik comes in close second with 3 votes less than Crosby.

And Ovechoke way in the back with no votes to his poor name.

If someone can work it out so that Boston plays Montreal for the cup, that would be great.

I think Sedin needs to wait till Lunguist steps down to claim the crown of Sweden.

I think there might be a certain Swedish defenceman who deserves the title of King of Sweden. He has a couple cups. 4 actually. And 6 Norris Trophies. Probably the greatest defenceman of this generation. Top 3 all time. He's also the 1st European to captain a team to a Stanley Cup victory. If only his name sounded like Henry.

Just because you created a player in NHL 10 doesn't mean he's real.

Howard's looking a little shaky to me. Three goals in less than ten shots isn't like him. And it can't be the "he just played in a game seven excuse" since he was hardly tested. :nono:

They are the franchise. And there have been some rough groups who in some ways have lived up to the moniker. The whole ora about them just oozes we can beat the living shit out of you, literally and figuratively. I like the Phlyers. I was always a huge fan of LeClair and his line with Lindros. Bloody shame the Legion of Doom didn't bring the cup home.

Is it me, or is the officiating just fucking wretched in this game (again)?

Bad officiating has always been an issue with me, especially in the NHL. It's political (let's even the score) type shit too often. Whatever happened to the good old days when you could mug someone and it was perfectly normal. :)

Too many head injuries lately

Or maybe they were just tougher back then (or maybe we, as societies are too pussy now). Who knows how many unlisted injuries there have been in hockey history. I'm pretty sure I received at least one (probably two) concusions when I was still active not long ago (I still can see these hits). I was too embarased to ask for help myself.

Yeah, hockey players are still and always will be the toughest. :thefinger
