and fuck just as I finished that sentence they scored... now its 6-4 and the Sens go on to a 5 on 4 powerplay.

Imagine if Crosby was a Senator. I have to admit, he would look appropriate in a Sens jersey.

I do find it hard to believe that a Canadian team hasn't won the Cup in 17 years. I think the Flames were the closest.

Actually, I think the Flames got robbed by officiating.

Speaking of which, while I have no wish to be a whiny little bitch, I think Montreal is getting punished by the officials. There have been some egregious calls against them, and none, as I've seen, in their favour.

But I digress.

yes, Bloodshot, I think Crosby in a Sens jersey would look good.

Why's that so hard to believe? There's 30 teams in the NHL, only of which 6 are based in Canada. That leaves 24 USA teams. Look at that comparison, 24 to 6, the odds really aren't that good at all.

Also consider that although Canadians are deemed the best hockey players in the world, etc., that not all the players on Canadian teams are Canadian.

You do think that a Canadian team would have squeezed at least 2 or 3 Cup victories in within those 17 years though. It's gonna come sooner or later...

i disagree ;). the one questionable call was the "Phantom goal" in game 6. from the front angle it looked good, but from above you couldn't tell if it crossed the line completely so Calgary lost to a Tampa team that would not be denied

Calgary? They made it to the cup, got robbed, and now are all pissy. They can't get their shit together.

Edmonton? :rofl2:

Vancouver? Not looking good for the playoff failures at the moment. Never won the cup? maybe never will.

I don't mean to be cynical, but I'm a bitter bastard. Sue me.

I remember that series now. I remember thinking, shit I want the Flames to win. But I do admit, you 'Ning fans in this thread have changed my opinion on the Sun Belters' knowledge/love of the game.

Hey man, I never said those teams were good or worthy of winning the Cup, you just think that over 17 years at least one of those six teams could have pulled a team together good enough to at least make a fucking run.

Nashville and Chicago, I am glad the Preds are up 2-1 in the series. Let's see how the Bruins fare tonight, and I was glad to hear the Savard was cleared to practice, as to him starting in any games who knows.
