I'm watching the Blackhawks/Blue Jackets game on WGN right now. I like the announcing team, they have fun doing it. Oh, and the Jackets scored on themselved.
As much as I enjoy Capitals/Penguins games, I agree. The Penguins should wait awhile before playing in another Winter Classic. However, I think the Caps could play in it this year, I'm just not sure who they would face. :dunno:

Isn't that the truth. Plus he's been kicked out of a few games. He's probably missed around a dozen total games all added up, but thats his own fault.
Steve Downie is one tough kid. he was skating behind the net to throw a hit on Girardi of the Rangers when his stick blade stuck under the board. his momentum caused the stick to lift and skewer him right in his stomach. the force was enough to snap the stick but he didn't want to leave on a stretcher. it took a few minutes but he skated off the ice, still obviously in a lot of pain. it's a good thing we're not a Playoff team because if he misses time, that will affect us

I wonder if Tampa should try to land Turco or Price for next season. They might not be franchise goalies, but they are certainly an improvement over what you have. Price might thrive in a market that doesn't put a lot of pressure on him. :2 cents:
And on a side note: Go Colorado.
i have been hoping we could somehow pull in Nabokov, but i doubt that'll happen. we'll probably just bring back Karri Ramo from the KHL.
our defense still needs work too...still.

As on/off as Nabokov is, I don't see San Jose giving him up.
Fuck. I can't believe it, but people here are saying Pittsburgh is going to go back to the finals this year. Fuck that.
Lord Stanley and History say's it so hard to repeat, I agree on Pittsburgh's chances, they are a overall young team that might bouce back very well after a short offseason, but there are many well placed teams to take it this year. A long post-season is a very hard run to handle and succeed!
yeah, i won't leave them. i just wish they'd hurry up and get better so i can be happy during hockey season for a change
I said it earlier , the guy we need in Tampa is Josh Harding. He is a very good goalie and the only reason he's not the #1 in Minnesota is because of the presence of a great goaltender like Nik Backstrom. So Tampa should trade for Harding this summer. As for Ramo , he had a good season in the KHL and he is now 23 years old , I think he is ready to take on a bigger role with the Lightning.
If he doesn't want to come back , I would give some starts to Dustin Tokarski. For next season , Tampa should go with the young talent they have waiting to make the jump to the NHL like Carter Ashton , Richard Panik , James Wright and Dana Tyrell to replace players like Alex Tanguay , Mark Parrish , Brandon Bochenski and Stephane Veilleux. We have a good core of experienced players and we should give the youngsters a chance , I'm sure the team will do better that way. On defense , same thing , I would give a chance to players like Ty wishart and Vladimir Mihalik and get rid of defensemen like Matt Walker and David Hale.
Ever since Melrose came (and even before) they've been shitty. And here I thought Melrose was going to turn that team into a contender. Hell he brought other teams to the finals before. Coaches are a funny thing in sports; if they win they get all the credit and if they lose they get all the blame.
Harding is damn good. I've been watching him for a while now. Eventually they will probably have to part with him like they did Roloson for $$$.
Smith was good before the concussion.
i like everything about this except for Harding. i don't want another backup coming to TB to be our main goalie. we need a solid #1.
