Hawks all the way this year. It their time in 2010.

Mauser and Thunderbolt can complain about Tampa all the time, but at least they aren't a fan of Columbus. I shouldn't be surprised that they blew their lead; after all, Mason was in net. :turnturn:

Man, everytime Columbus has a lead, I know they are going to blow it somehow. If only they had some stronger goaltending.

With Huet having a hell of a year behind the net, the young guns Toews and Kane now teaming with a proven winner in Hossa, and Quenneville at coach, the Blackhawks are primed for the cup this year.

Chicago now has the Hossa curse. Chicago will lose to Detroit in the playoffs.

Chicago won't see Detroit in the playoffs. Even if we did, we've got their number this year. Hossa curse? Man, I'm a Cubs fan... I know what curses look like, and that ain't no curse.

Then it's a good thing you are used to having your heart broken year after year, because I don't think Chicago's gonna take it this year. I have the feeling it's going to the East this year. :dunno:

Welcome to the majors, kid! you stem the tide

49 shots on goal and only 2 goals. I'm not even that big of a fan of the Lightning and I'm pissed that Vinny isn't performing.

consistency is our enemy it would seem. we cannot be a good team until we are consistent. at this point we can't even win 3 in a row

DiPietro looked pretty good tonight; manage to top Miller in a shootout.

It's a shame that DiPietro got injured last season. If he was playing this entire time the US Olympic team would have an even harder time trying to pick who would start.

Niittymaki was the problem last night , he gave up 5 soft goals on only 16 shots.
It's tough to recover from that. As for Vinny hes not having a very good year from a goal scoring point of view but he's not having an awful season either , he almost has a point a game and is on pace for possibly 80 points , now that's not a bad season in the NHL.

What pisses me off the most is the way they fall in a slump right after a great win against a top team. They beat the caps 7-4 then they lose 2 games to the panthers... I really don't understand why they don't get a big boost out of those big wins like when they beat San Jose earlier this season , they started to play poorly right after that and whent on to have their biggest losing streak of the season , go figure.

CTV News in Montreal reports that hockey great Jean Beliveau has suffered a stroke. CTV News has learned the Montreal Canadiens legend suffered the stroke Wednesday night and was transported to the Montreal General Hospital.

He is now in the neurological department and no further details on his condition are available. However, a source tells CTV News that his life is not in danger.

Canadiens spokesman Donald Beauchamp confirmed Beliveau, 78, is in hospital but did not say when he was admitted and why.

A 10-time Stanley Cup champion, member of the Hockey Hall of Fame and member of the Order of Canada, Beliveau was named an honourary Team Canada member and honourary captain of Canada's 2010 Men's Olympic Hockey Team last year.

Beliveau spent his entire 20-year NHL career as a member of the Montreal Canadiens, recording 1,219 points in 1,125 games. He retired as a player following the 1970-71 season and was a valued member of the team's front office until his retirement in 1993.

hope he gets better soon :(

How can they win when Niittymaki gives up 5 goals on 20 shots ? Again an awful performance by Antero.

it's been 5 years since Khabibulin left and we still can't get good, consistent goal tending. what gives?

and who is Nate Thompson? Tampa got him off waivers from NYI today.
