At this point, it doesn't matter if the Caps lose this series or go farther. They're gonna be hunting for a goalie this off-season. Vokoun would be a nice fit...

Lots of talk about awards on previous page reminds me of interesting fact: After '04-'05 lockout season there has been 2 more different players winning Art Ross Trophy than between '80-'81 - '00-'01 seasons.

The most dominant hockey team I ever saw (and I absolutely hate to admit it cuz I despise 'em) was the Philadelphia Flyers (aka "Broad Street Bullies") of the 1970s. Their ability to intimidate their finesse-oriented opponents remains unmatched to this day. They literally beat the shit out of you but they could also skate, score and defend with the best of them. Bernie Parent was an absolute beast in goal. Once you got down to them, they never let you back up.

I'll never forget their domination of the vaunted Central Red Army team in a exhibition game back in 1976. I can still remember seeing the scoreboard at the old Spectrum at the end of the game: FLYERS 4 RED ARMY 1. It was still cold war days and what a fucking statement it made! Sent shivers down my spine.

They only won two Cups.

Awesome game! So happy that the Canadiens won. Ovechkin did nothing but shoot the second he touched the puck. He proved in this game and in most of this series that he is hockey dumb. He has sick skills, but a hockey I.Q. of zero.
