NFL '10/'11 Season Thread.

I thought the EAGLES team bus was still broken on the Turnpike in the first half. The Giants were really sending us home by the half. That was an unbelievable turnaround in 4th. Once Brett Celek got a touchdown things got interesting. The Michael Vick Experience turned on the jets and Desean Jackson redeemed himself with that punt return. Totally unbelievable. Surely The Miracle at the Meadowlands once again.

Damn, Lance Ball dropped what would have been a 25 yard TD for Tebow. The only thing holding Tebow back so far has been the play calling. I know it's his first start but it's starting to get a little ridiculous.

You're assuming he's ready to handle a more complicated playbook. Keeping it the way they did might very well be what allowed him to be able to do as well as he did.

Ace Bandage

The one and only.
 @ the Green Bay kick coverage.

Matt Flynn outplays Tom Brady in the first half. Who saw that coming? I'm really pulling for the Pack here. Not just because I hate NE, but because I hate the Bears as well.

5-0 now for the Raiders in the division. Unfortunately, we are 0-5 against everybody else in the AFC. The only thing Denver did well that game was run Tebow. Everything else they did offensively and defensively failed miserably. Btw Brandon Lloyd is boss.

Lions win their first road game in about 12 years.

sure he'll give you a few 3 TDs and 300-400 yard games but for the most part he's average.

Lol. What??

There is no question that Cutler has more talent than Orton.

K. It's a good thing talent wins championships, not production. Shit, I guess Darius Heyward-Bey is a much better wide receiver than that scrub Wes Welker. And Matt Cassel can't touch that guy Alex Smith.

--The awesome Carolina Panthers won their first game this season against the Arizona Nobodies 19-12.

It was their second actually.....I'm scared of Denver getting Andrew Luck.

I actually think Orton and Cutler are pretty close with Cutler maybe being slightly better. Orton was probably better than most people realized when he was in Chicago. The biggest differences are the system and teammates around them. Until this year Orton had both a great offensive line and receivers that he didn't have in Chicago and a poor defense and it's vice versa with Cutler. This year Denver's running game seems to have disappeared and their defense is back to being terrible. McDaniel’s was actually pretty good with quarterbacks and running a passing offense. It's just too bad for Denver that he sucked at everything else, like defense, the running game the draft, and managing people considering he seemed to piss off some of his top players.

The only thing the Broncos did was run the ball. There was an occasional play-action pass (which was quite effective), but clearly the Broncos weren't trying to win this game. I think the goal was to improve to 3-11.

Was just by TCF stadium the other night and took pics and was gonna post, and Ive found my computer's dificult. I'll post pics if I get a chance.(The U of M has some hottites)

I have both on my fantasy team...thank GOD

As do I....they are my fucking heros right now. Got me to the super bowl!!!

Tebow is a bitch and always will be. He just needs to be the team priest.

Maybe the word talent is the best word. What I'm trying to say is that I'd rather have Cutler over Orton any day because I believe Cutler has more of the tools to succeed in the NFL. He has a better arm than Orton and he is very mobile outside of the pocket. For the record, I would trade for Cutler all over again if I were the Bears. I still see more pros than cons in acquiring a player with such rare physical ability as Cutler, baggage and all.

First the Saints lost to the damned Ravens. Then my Steelers couldn't get it done against the Jets! Then the Packers blew it to the damned Patriots (hell of a game by Flynn though....up to the end anyway)! Right when I think things can't get any worse....a shocking ray of light emerges! Much to my shock, I find out my Steelers clinched a playoff spot despite the loss! On a crappy day like today....Hell I'll take it! And it only gets better....we play the Carolina "Kittens" Thursday......then the Cleveland Brownies to finish off the season! If my Steelers don't win the AFC North & have to go in as a Wild Card....they don't deserve it! Should have Troy back by the playoffs anyway....his play making ability on defense was definitely missing today....same with Heath Miller....especially at the end in taking shots at the end zone!

I think the word you're looking for is 'potential'. That makes more sense.

the other benfit of Tebow playing well is Orton now become's a viable trading chip. i know San Fran would kill for that kind of passer.

not sure how the bears are the best in the nfc let get man handle by new england then the packers who WERE struggling in the run game and whos star Qb is out nearly beat New Engalnd .
that was a good game but the rookie came out in matt flynn during the 2 min drill

I don't think anybody has called the Bears the best in the NFC. I'm a Bears fan and I don't think they are the best but they are in the top 3-4 teams in the NFC just because there is no dominant team in the NFC like there is in the AFC with the Pats, who are a class above everyone else. Maybe the Bears are not as good as the Falcons but you could lump them in with the Saints, Eagles, Giants, etc.

Tonight's Bears/Vikings game is must see TV. I'm excited for this game not only because I'm a Bears fan but because I believe this is the first outdoor game for the Vikings since 1981 and it's going to be cold and snowing. This is the way football is supposed to be played.

I give the Packers and Matt Flynn a lot of credit I though the Pats would do what they did to the Jets and Bears but the Packers came to play
