All I wanted was to hear some good ways to approach a girl about getting tested without offending her. Where was the whining you're talking about? All you did was criticize me and belittle me by saying, "you have no business in an adult relationship." I brought condoms. Did you read that part? For the record, even if she has an STD, one encounter does not mean I'm DOOMED!

One thing they don't teach enough ...

One thing they don't teach people enough is how to be forward, honest and -- gasp -- responsible. You must offer yourself as much as her to get tested, and it's generally a good idea in a relationship to do so before sexual activity.

Also note that condoms don't always prevent herpes. Yes, it reduces it, but the viral aspects are also external (just not as strong as the direct fluid exchange), and you should always take that into consideration.
