New Formula One Season

Yeah, Jacques started lousy, and finished lousy. I am seriously beginning to wonder how good a driver he really is. He won in '97 with easily the best car. I think he was at his best in CART. I mean the guy won the Indy 500 by driving more miles then anyone in history to win it (He drove 505 miles and still won).
Yeah, it was nice to see someone other then Ferrari win. Wonder if it will continue?
And I am not sure about the rule changes.
And that is a great point about Senna. What if he haden't died? Interesting.

If Senna had lived....Schumacher wouldnt have the amount of titles he has now but i think it would be a really close championship between the both of them in the later 1990`s.

Still think Schumacher will come good. Dont forget that they have not finished their new car yet and are still using last years car, unlike all the other teams.

Had the qualification been dry throughout then doubtless he would have been on the podium to finish.

Three cheers for Red Bull Racing (despite the fact that I hate Coulthard)

I hope for McLaren to win the title this year, i can´t stand Schumacher to win almost every race, it´s just boring.
Let´s wait for the next races, i hope it wasn´t the last time Schumacher got no points.

I was hoping someone would post a thread about this. Thanks UJ. I've gotta say I have a grin on my face seeing Michael Schumacher going down in my books at the start of this season so far. In terms of brits, the best one at the moment is DC aka David Coulthard. Jenson is distant at the moment and has not even won a world champion point, but then again, niether has Schumacher, except only just the 1, so that's okay I guess.

If I had to choose one of the ferraris to win, it would most definitely have to be Rubino, he is such a wicked driver, and IMO is starting to match Schumacher and even get better than him.

I'm surprised at how the Renaults are doing at the moment, well Fischella for starters, but I am please for Alonso, I think he deserves it and it would be cool to see him end up champion. If not him, then Raikkonen or Montoya. Here are my contenders listed below:

First set of favourites
1) Alonso
2) Button (if he recovers from the bad start he's had)
3) Montoya
4) Raikkonen
5) Trulli

Second set of favourites
6) Barrichello
7) Fishichella
8) Webber
9) Ralf Schumacher
10) Takuma Sato (lol, it's either him or Schumacher, and I ain't having Michael in my top 10 at all. Ralf is okay, I dont mind him to be honest)

The next race is at Imola in San Marino and I would like to see an improvement from the McClarens, BAR's and a bit more hard work put in from the Williams BMW.

Only 3 races in and Ferrari have only used their new car in the last race. It is clearly unreliable but they were forced to bring out the new car earlier than they wanted. I still think it is far too early to rule out Ferrari.

Dont get me wrong, however, I am very happy that they are not doing well and I was hoping for a good season from Renault as they are my favourite team.

In general I think the start of the new season has been quite good and refreshing to have a different set of leaders. I definately approve of the new qualification rules.

Oh RKO, your list of favourites was excellent except for Montoya...I hate that arrogant bastard !!! :glugglug:

Thanks Mr Miyagi, but what is it you hate about Montoya, I mean I know we are both entitled to our own opinions, but I'm just wondering, that's all??

I dont mind Montoya.

I think F1 needs an aggressive driver to stand up to the way that twat Schumacher drives sometimes.

I`d Love to see my main man jacques at least get a few podiums this year but the sauber car is mince this season.

Hopefully Alonso will get the title or one of the McLaren drivers.

I hope so too, but i don't think he will finish the year... if he does nothing in Imola, my guess is that he would get the boot soon after that... :(

i dont honestly know if I can put a finger on exactly why I dont like him. Possibly his cockiness or else the fact that my wife thinks he is "fucking hot" !

Go Honda! I hope they can work out some of the issues and Jensen Button will buck up to bar and win a couple. shame they took such a step backward this year after a nice 2004!

Schumacer will win it even though the ferrari car is not as good as in previous seasons, i also think the other Schumacer, Butten, Barricello and Alonso wil be in with a shot for second.

Micheal wont find it easy to win this season.Makes it better no doubt.Too bad Honda seems to have gone backwards this season.Mclaren too have to be a litlle bit better then we have excellent season ahead.
