New Formula One Season

The Chin is coming back! Well, that should mix things up a good bit! He's in for the rest of the season, eh?

So if Alonso comes over next season, he'll probably take Massa's seat (assuming he can't return to racing), and so what happens to Kimi? You think he might be retained now, or go somewhere else... and continue to collect a Ferrari paycheck?

^^^ Yeah, I've spent the last half hour surfing the web and found nothing. I thought Eddie was happy with commentating these days. But you never know....... :wave2:

I've never met Eddie, but he's definitely near the top of the list of racing guys I'd like to hang out with for one night in Vegas: Eddie Jordan, Tommy Kendall, Willie T. Ribbs, Paul Gentilozzi and Paul Stoddart.

But with my luck, I'd be the only one to get arrested and not get laid. :1orglaugh

^^^ So are you saying it was all down to Ross? Or that Micheal will leave the rest behind? Or something else? I certainly don't see the point of your post. Any help? :dunno: :wave2:

So BMW calls it quits and they won't sell out to Peter Sauber? WTF? Now it's too late for the Concorde Agreement to be signed by a new owner (I believe).

So who's the next sucker? Nelson Piquet, so his talent challenged kid will have a ride next year?

It looks as if Porsche, after being bought in from Volkswagen, will return to Formula 1:

I sure hope that happens :partysml:

I wish I could speak German - but I can't.

I've checked several F1 sites and I can't find any confirmation or mention that VAG/Porsche has an interest in F1. But considering that neither VAG nor Porsche has expressed any serious interest in F1 before now, I'm not counting on it.

The only open wheel series that I'm aware of VAG or Porsche speaking with recently is the Indy Racing League... the sad remnant left over from the CART-CCWS/IRL civil war, that ruined the sport here in the States. Roger Penske has close ties to Porsche through his sports car progams in ALMS, and now Grand Am. And apparently Volkswagen is still at the table with Honda (and some claim FIAT) to supply the IRL with engines by 2012 or so. But I'll be surprised to see Volkswagen (or Porsche) in the IRL by 2012, much less F1.

Just my :2 cents:

Schumacher annouced to a Gazzeta Dello Sporte (italian sport newspaper) journalist he cancels his come back.

Sadly, you're right - just read the morning news here in Germany.

It's due to his neck injury from a motorbike race crash.
