Humbling? Yeah it would be if he didn't have a press conference where he blamed his "haters" and assert how he's going to live his life and enjoy it with his family etc...
The classy thing would have been to focus on himself and the shortcomings he actually had in his game; while giving credit to Dallas for defying expectations and leveraging the resources they had into the wins they needed.
I honestly think he thinks he was just fine and that others let him down. Teammates or fans or both maybe. Perhaps if he loses again next year in or before the playoffs we'll get to see another episode of "The Decision".
I feel sorry for his "fans" and the people that actually sport his jersey. What an egotistical arrogant piece of shit; a guy who's never had to do a damn thing his entire life.
The fact of the matter about LBJ is that he has failed before when the burden was his to carry his team...he didn't learn a thing from that experience obviously...so he opted to go with "Plan-B" where he joined a team that was loaded & were "guaranteed" the Title BEFORE the season even started. He has been arrogant since his high school days...and though he is young...I see him being set in his ways. He got smacked down by Dallas winning...nothing more. I don't see it as being a humbling experience for him & I believe he still will have the same sense of entitlement that he always had. People of strong character learn from their experiences. Does anyone really think LBJ is a person of strong character? Dirk could have taken the money and ran...he stayed with Dallas...he has a title. LBJ...we all know what he did...and how it turned out for him! Simply put...LBJ is a QUITTER!

I know this'll probably sound surprising, but I think I might hold on to him for 1 more season, unless we get a mind-blowing offer (like an elite superstar such as Dwyane Wade or 3 number one picks from a shit team like Minnesota). As a Magic fan, I've waited forever for a championship. I don't wanna wait to rebuild. I think I'd be willing to risk it all on 1 last gasp attempt with Dwight, cuz this may be the closest we'll be for a while, cuz once Dwight's gone, we're gonna have to rebuild, trade acquisitions (from the Howard deal) or not. Because honestly, unlike when Shaq left, the roster doesn't have the players to still be a contender. It was such a shot to the gut back then, cuz the roster still was good with Penny, so you know getting something for Shaq could've kept us at a very high level. Not the case here.

Fuck Dirk Nowitski. The guy had a boo boo on his left finger and slight fever. The guy wasn't on his death bed suffering from some incurable illness.

Most everyone is banged up and I didn't hear Wade complaining about his injured hip. If Dirk was that sick or injured he should have gone back home to Dallas instead of spending most of his press conference talking about his boo boo.

MJ's legacy doesn't need to be defended, because its history. Nobody can change that. I been in the same boat with you on ending that talk, so I'm not one of those cats. I was close enough to the Jordan thing to know that comparisons need to end. They should've ended years ago.
Yes, you're right, Jordan and the Bulls didn't win anything in his first 7 years, but did MJ put that on the fans? Did MJ have pyrotechnics with his introduction to a new season? Did MJ promise multiple rings? Did he disappear in any of the opportunities he had in the postseason? The answer is no.
MJ out of it, call it what it is... LBJ had led his teams to 2 wins total in 2 Finals series (10 games), and then has the nerve to salty about it. Has the nerve to not have a shred of accountability. He and the vaunted Big 3 lost to a Dallas team that, let's be honest, is not an all-time great championship team. My problem with Jalen is that he continually makes excuses for a guy that won't take responsibility for anything, and throws it in everybody elses face. I didn't say the season was a success. I was just pointing out despite all the Heat's flaws, they were still better than 28 teams in the NBA. If one superstar doesn't go through the worst slump since his rookie year, it's probably 29.
