I hate the Heat, but I've grown wary of all the Heat-haters (and almost embarrassed to be clumped along with alot of them.......I've hated the Heat my whole life as a Magic fan.....these new haters are bandwagon haters).

I'm so glad you said that. Its become the new cool thing to do.... Hate the Heat! I wanted to point this out earlier, but I have no objectivity because I'm a arrogant Heat fan.

At first I thought it was annoying, but now I just find it humorous.

Is this a Giants/Patriots like upset? It's gotta be up there.

Not even close.

Before the post-season, most people had Lakers/Bulls in the Finals. A lot of people (including myself), didn't think the Heat would make it to the Finals. I even said before the Finals that the Mavs were the better team.

The only reason why the Heat became the big favorite was because of the way they played in the playoffs, so people jumped on the bandwagon. Unfortunately for us, our superstar (I refuse to say his name) had a major meltdown.

Yeah... he's ready to go. It's obvious that he kinda sees the writing on the wall. Orlando's options for improving that squad around D12 are very few. Bullshit contracts and trades are sinking the Magic. I think it's reset time for them, and they should consider stockpiling draft picks, in particular, the protected pick from Charlotte that Chicago currently owns. Chicago was able to use deals like this to draft both Joakim Noah and Derrick Rose. I know they don't want to deal him to the East, but Chicago has the most to offer in picks and players.

I don't hate the Heat.

I hate assholes like Lebron and Wade. I hate players that are overrated and become poster boys for a league when they either 1. Don't deserve it 2. Don't have class.

Sorta like Sidney Crosby.

I will admit this.

I have never seen so many bandwagon fans AND haters for one team at one time. It's wildly amazing.

The question is: Will his attitude toward his game change? That is what needs to happen first. Magic Johnson mentioned this in his own life after the Lakers loss in 1984. LBJ still doesn't think it's him. You listen to his post game comments and all indications point to he won't. He honestly does not understand this concept whatsoever.

This 'I'm still better than you, so na-na-na-na-naaaaa...' quote tells you all you need to know. His loser, petulent, defeatist attitude hasn't changed with his new surroundings. I said this in a much earlier post, but honestly ask yourself: In 8 years, how much has LBJ changed on and off the court???

Very little.

We keep waiting for him to take himself and his game to the next level, but it hasn't happened. We've been waiting for this Kobe/Jordan-like evolution, but after 8 years in the league, when? The answer is: Never. If he can't grow up; if he can't mature within, it will not happen without. How can someone on top of the NBA act like as if he is just content with playing in the NBA??? NBA's version of Tom Hanks in 'Big'... LeBron James.

I nearly forget how long Lebron has been around because of his age(26?) and you have pointed out something(haven't seen game 6 post game interview) I did notice after game 2,3 or 5 and a reporter questioned him about him 'shrinking' in the 4th quarter.

Lebrons answer about his 'shrinking' was basically, check my stats and check the film "I did my job" instead of saying whatever I did it wasn't/isn't good enough to win and I need to do whatever it takes to win this series.

I think that's what you want to hear and not the defeatist "I did my job" right ? So I am beginning to understand you and see myself for the Lebron apologist I am:o:

I even tried to explain Lebrons game 6 post game comments and attempted not to view it as "I have a better life than you" . I was at work saying that he meant that ' it's just a game and I am sure you have more pressing issues in your own life than worrying about whether Lebron James wins a BBall game or not:dunno:

That's what I tried to take from his comments.

Like I have said before though Lebron and Dwayne are basically redundant talents and don't seem to compliment one another all that well. Lebron is capable of being a handful in the low post at times instead of hanging around the 3 pt line watching Wade work and vice versa. He needs to work the post occasionally so he and Wade can work a two man game on offense.

When superstars with similiar skillset get together someone has to change his game. Kobe did this in the Olympics since he was playing with 2 ball dominant swing men(Lebron and Wade) and Kobe really struggled early on to become more of a Spot up shooter for the first time in his basketball career to allow DWade and Lebron have the rock.

People were trashing Nowitski a few years back ,but we see how quickly things can change. The guy is only 26 ,but I am beginning to believe he is a great player ,but doesn't have that extra something in his belly like a Kobe.

Fox's Jason Whitlock: Dismantle the Heat

And you guys can put me in your little "bandwagon Heat hater" category. BUT, I hate any team that tries to artificially manufacture championships in any pro sport, so in that regard I think I'm pretty consistent. I also have always been a Nowitzki fan

It's bad for the game. What's good for the game? Those cry baby ass prima-donna Heat losing. Ordering your rings and parade itinerary? They got everything they deserved. :)

Agree.

The Pistons over the Lakers in '04 was by far a bigger upset although Malone was 40 and injured and an aging Payton just never fit the triangle and playing with a ball dominant guard like Kobe.

I wasn't sure the Heat could beat the Celtics and not many 'experts' neither at least not in year 1 together.

I have been a little more patient with Lebrons play than even some of his fans , but I have to admit that I am absolutely baffled as to why a guy of his stature scores only 17 4th quarter points in the ENTIRE 6 game series:dunno:(I think Haslem scored more)

Not blowouts but close hard fought games. I sill want to see the guy suceed though and just don't understand the almost personal vitriol towards him.

Could Dwight Howard be a Miami Heat next season?
http://bleacherreport.com/articles/...t-howard-be-miamis-superman-sooner-than-later

I think it's highly unlikely.... but then again, I didn't expect Miami to sign Wade, Lebron, and Bosh last year.

I highly doubt that. In order for that to happen, a trade must occur. Miami doesn't have nearly enough goods to give up. Not mentioned is that Hedo Turkoglu and his contract would most certainly have to be picked up in a package deal (possibly Gibert Arenas). Miami won't and can't do that all.

I know this sounds crazy, but I don't think Heat fans would really mind if the Heat traded Lebron for Howard. I know I wouldn't.

Again, Howard will not go anywhere alone. Orlando will want to unload one of the two bad contracts of Arenas or Turkoglu. Miami is not gonna take on that extra contract, and it certainly won't happen for just LBJ. Orlando will want a big man in return without question.

Lakers will be back next season, if theres a next season of course...i think the lockout is going to cause a 50 game schedule again the way the 2 sides are at odds. Dallas will still be a player in the West, but the competition beyond that is going to be intense. OK city and Memphis will be better, the Spurs are at risk of becoming irrelavent if they dont make improvements at the forward position and on the Bench. The East will be Miami's to lose next season, Boston is done with this group, and theres no other quality competition outside of Chicago

Let's face it, LeBron need to work on being a basketball player. When it is time to make basketball plays in real basketball moments, he has shown to be incapable of doing so more times than not. Great numbers don't mean that you don't have to work on your game. This is something Jordan learned. Kobe learned. LBJ has yet to make the adjustments, and you get the feeling that he still just doesn't get it. Sad really.

Truth.

He's still young though, and this humbling moment has the potential for a positive impact.

Great series though and a great win for Dallas on so many levels.

No way the Heat would be able to pull off a trade for Howard. Just too much money.
