NBA '09/'10 Season Thread

Lakers pulled one out against the Celtics on the road. Ray Allen missed a buzzer beater that had me shittin my pants knob_cheese style.

I really hope L.A addresses their PG issues before the deadline. Rondo ate us alive. Check out his line. 21 points - 12 assists - 5 rebounds - 2 steals. I think he is the best PG in the league. Watching him feels special. The way he can hold the dribble, pull the help D out and find the open man is amazing. I hate admitting this. Fuck the Celtics.

I'd like to see them pull a trade for Kirk Heinrich. Throw them Farmar and Adam Morrison and we'd have a huge improvement defensively at the point. Fisher is clutch, but too old and slow to guard guys like Rondo, Williams, Paul etc. Farmer just doesn't know what D is. Either way, we have to do something.

Go Lakers!!!

The Chris Bosh situation is starting to look a little brighter for Raptor fans. Out of all possible outcomes I think the most likely is that Bosh will say in Toronto for the forseeable future.

Of course, I'm waiting to hear the news itself. I'm still expecting him to be traded and as a result another five years of Raptor mediocrity.

Kobe once again adds to his greatness game winner vs the hated ones.... big history making moments this week for the NBA CHAMPS, Coach Jackson will soon become lakers all time in wins and Kobe to pass the Logo more then likely will happen tomorrow...

Kobe Bryant scored 44 points, passing Jerry West as the Los Angeles Lakers' All time career scorer, but it wasn't enough to beat the sucky Memphis Grizzlies
way to go Kobe...

Suns have won 2 straight on the road against decent teams.....looks like they got that monkey off their back. Now they need to re-establish their home dominance.

Nothing for nothing jaygod, but my Grizzlies don't suck anymore. Last year this statement would have been fine in our book, but they are 26-21 (already eclipsed last season's win total), with an 18-6 record at home. That means their away record is 8-15, which albeit isn't too wonderful, but if Chris Wallace adds a scoring option off the bench this team will make the playoffs and put a scare into whomever they face in the first round.

They beat Toronto, Miami, Oklahoma, Portland (twice), Dallas, Cleveland, Denver, Phoenix (twice), Utah, San Antonio, Orlando, and now put the Lakers on that list. All playoff bound teams.

Give some credit where credit is due bro.

ZBo, Rudy Gay, OJ Mayo, Marc Gasol, and (underwhelming PG) Mike Conely.
I'd go to war with those five.

Kobe makes history in Memphis (no game stoppage here Mr. Bryant - and by the way your team is still down by 4 points with 3:57 to play in the 3rd) and The Zen Master can't share in the glory. I love it!

I missed the NBA games. I was busy watching results from national signing day. But congrats to KB anyway. :wave2:

I think it will be cavs v. lakers in the finals. If so, it's going to be exciting :)

You're probably right. It's either L.A or Denver in the West and Clevelend, Orlando, Atlanta in the East. It's sad that there isn't any chance for upsets in the NBA.

I officaliy now hate the denver nuggets they can be added to the list with the hated celts and portland trailblazers... for us to lose at home and them with out mello really pisses me off... but if we don't get tuff come playoff time and stop getting punked by the likes of chauncey billups, j.r smith, arron afflalo, nene, chris andersen, & kenya martin I mean u add mello and thats more then half the team tuffer then anyone except kobe and artest on the lakers....

BTW
Sasha Vujacic needs to be traded ASAP

Lakers need to upgrade their point guard. Fisher and Farmar have the lowest PER in the league. Literally. I'm not making things up. They are the two worst point guards in the league. Ya Fisher is clutch, but he wouldn't have to be clutch if he could get in front of his man. PG penetration is the Lakers weakness. I don't know why they don't start Shannon Brown at the point. He is at least quick and strong enough to prevent opposing PG's from putting up hall of fame stats.

Vujacic/Farmar and Morrison will be traded for Kirk Heinrich. Mark my words. But I'd prefer Devin Harris. :D
