TV hardman Mr. T has slammed the film remake of The A-Team for featuring too much sex and violence.

The 58 year old played the original BA Baracus in the hit 1980s TV show but rejected a cameo role in the upcoming movie, starring Liam Neeson and Bradley Cooper.

And after seeing a preview of the film, he admits he's shocked with how graphic it is.

Mr. T says, "People die in the film and there's plenty of sex but when we did it, no one got hurt and it was all played for fun and family entertainment. These seem to be elements nobody is interested in anymore.

"It was too graphic for me. I've no doubt it will do big business at the box office but it's nothing like the show we turned out every week."

-----------------------------------------------
I'm pretty much in agreement with him. Half the point of the A-Team was that they did not kill anyone. People got hurt, and humiliated, but never killed.

Wait so there isn't going to be thousands of rounds of ammo wasted and never hitting anyone!

They're actually going to go further with the sexual tensions some of the females they helped had with face.

The acting will be better, the graphics and lines will be less cheesy. Plus, Rampage would murder MR T even in his heyday. If I was T I would be pissed too.

Mr. T says "I pity the fool who changed the movie enough so I don't get any royalties from it."

lol

This is the show where there was always top-level military units trying to find them but they never could.

Meanwhile some housewife whose husband gets kidnapped...she can find them, no problem.

I have spent my entire life not giving two shits what Mr. T thinks about anything...I'm still holding out for the right time to start.

To be fair, I have no desire to try to watch a UFC fighter attempt to "act" anymore than I had wanting to see a Chicago bouncer try to "act." This movie is just another Hollywood piece of shit that people will watch because it has explosions.

Times change now days in order to put butts in the seat you need some action and some T&A face it sex sells

My Penis Is Dancing!
Wait...he doesn't like it because there is too MUCH sex and violence??!!??

Is...is...is Mr. T a pussy?

Well this is coming from the guy who "sang" this once upon a time:

So what do you expect?

You gotsta love the short-shorts.... :D

He is the face of World of Warcraft here in the U.S. :dunno:

When Liam Neeson took over the George Peppard role I knew this thing was doomed..

The ATeam, like all 80s pop tv, is so out-of-touch with contemporary America that it's laughable that hollywood even went there to make a movie. I guess hollywood think they can extract dollars from the pimple-face set this summer :dunno:

I agree.

Besides the names of the actors & the title of the movie, this movie has nothing in common with the original A-team.

I doubt they're wrongfully accused of a crime they commited in Vietnam (robbing a bank in Hanoi). What crime is this A-team accused of? Robbing a bank in Baghdad? Throwing their shoes at Karzai? (read why this is important a bit further down)

Besides, if the trailer is any indication, at least one & probably more characters have different personalities. The Original B.A. Baraccus would never say something as foolish as the guy playing in the movie does (0:36 in the trailer).

"You miss me? Cause I missed yoooouuuuu!" sounds more like a line of Murdock than B.A.

Another point is Murdock, the pilot who, thanks to the fact that he was mad (or at least acted that way), was sent to a mental institution instead of being imprisoned for the same crime as the other 3. The military accused him of being the pilot during the robbery & it's often implied that Murdock is merely acting instead of really being crazy, just so he can stay out of jail.
He suffered from posttraumatic stress disorder.

What crime did they commit & how did it involve a helicopter? Why isn't Murdock jailed with the others if he's not in a mental institution (see below if he is)?

Why is Murdock locked up in a mental institution? The UCSM has programs to assist people suffering from posttraumatic stress disorder in re-adjusting to civilian life since 2005, so there's no need to send him to a mental institution. But if he isn't mad (& thus isn't in a mental institution), he isn't Murdock.

Anyway, Mr. T isn't the only one who has bad things to say about this movie.

I'd like to ask you guys a question.

If the movie was called "the vigilantes" instead of the A-team & if the characters had different names (see below), would you still want to see the movie or would you say that it's just another b-movie?

Hannibal = Lector
B.A. Baraccus = H.H. Johnson
H.M. Murdock = T.I. Piers (Totally Insane)
Templeton "Face" Peck = Edwin "Charm" Vandebelt
