Most Brutal/Disturbing Movies ever

Why's everyone keep saying "Saw"? It's a childishly tame film compared to "Cannibal Holocast" (God-damn turtle scene...) or "Irreversible" (face-smashing scene at the start, and that rape).

3 guys 1 hammer.

It's not so much a movie as it is cell phone footage of...well. You'll see.

P.S. No, it isn't some lame internet clip of a guy hitting his dong with a hammer.

Rey C.

Racing is life... anything else is just waiting.

As far as porn movies, "Her Name Was Lisa" was pretty disurbing when I first saw it. I've seen a lot worse since then, but that was early in my porn viewing life.

As far as "regular" movies, I recall "The Night Porter" sort of playing with my mind when I first saw it. A girl who has been the sexual plaything of a Nazi captor, meets him later in life and they become lovers to the death. Yeah, that happens everyday.

"A Clockwork Orange" is a great classic, but still a pretty freaky movie.

^^Bambi

Se7en - fucking superb, and one of the best film endings - Ever. :)

"Irreversible" (face-smashing scene at the start, and that rape).

Those two scenes are really disturbing, especially because they seem almost too realistic.
Finally someone who mentions that movie.

A british film from a while ago starring a young Ray Winstone " Scum " about a borstal ( young offenders institute ) and about life and what goes on inside very graphic !!!

"Scum" is fucking brilliant. The rape scene in that is pretty horrifying too.
What is it with me and rape scenes?

I saw a probably real internet vid, I think on nothingtoxic, of a guy beat a puppy to death with a brick. The disturbing part was how calm the guy was and how he wasn't happy just hitting the dog once. The first blow breaks the dog's back or neck and immobilizes it. You can hear it squeal and bawl. The guy walks around a bike rack, picks up the brick again and smashes it a couple more times and walks away like nothing happened. Also disturbing is the fact that the person on the balcony taping it says and does nothing.

what kind of sick fuck kills an innocent animal. ppl like that should be strung up by their balls and executed.

I love Miike Takashi. Ichi the Killer I watch at least a few times a week, it has awesome music and a colorful scheme, despite all the visceral violence.

Imprint is another good one of Takashi's. Everyone I let borrow this film are unable to finish it. Once they see that first torture scene it usually is turned off they say.

It's good stuff. I recently bought Visitor Q; now that is hardly any gore and violence, rather psychological and visual disturbing, really screwed up imagery.

My next film of his will be Audition.

The French have given us some damn disturbing films in recent years.

Irreversible
Frontier(s)
Inside
Martyrs
High Tension

There was also a film starring Isabelle Adjani and Sam Neill called Possession, which is in my top 10 list of weird/disturbing flicks.

Some of you mentioned Holocaust themed movies or documentaries. I think the most graphically brutal and disturbing thing relating to the Holocaust was in the mini series War and Remembrance. Very hard to watch.
