I have to go for a german word:

'alternativlos' (no alternative possible)

Politicians tend to use this word more and word, especially describing monster bailouts for banks that rob the country blind, and handing fat bonuses to those managers who fucked up the bank in the first place.

In english, I am going with 'whatever', too. People try to make a point and suddenly just say it and let the argument drop dead. Massively annoying.

haha stimmt:) they even use it in the atom energy politic

When people use ''nuther'' as a word i.e.
''That's a whole nuther topic . . .''

I hear it on the radio, TV and in daily conversation.

:why:

When people incorrectly state their indifference towards something by saying "I could care less" when they really mean "I couldn't care less".

Or when people use the word "behoove" instead of benefit just to sound smarter.

^I actually think that ''just sayin''' is appropriate for instances when I don't have the time to read all of the posts in a l-o-n-g thread, but still want to contribute a sentence or two. It's a good indication that you aren't referencing anybody, you're just adding something that you believe is unique or unsaid. :dunno:

Oh, uber and faux to add two more. . . . and intellectual honesty for the third, sorry. :o

Every pay for something and say to the clerk "Thank you"? Then the clerk responds "uh huh".

I always think the clerk exceeded their grasp in their job when I hear that.

Anything that comes out of the mouths of the people on Jersey Shore is about as pleasant to listen as having door screws drilled into my eardrums.

"Are you sure?"

Example:
"Are you hungry?"
"No."
"Are you sure?"

...Gee, now that I think about it, I'm starving! I guess I just didn't take the time to ponder your question before answering. Thank you. From now on, I'll be better about doubting myself.
