Mortal Kombat vs the DC Universe

The two franchises you never thought you'd see crossover....the confirmed characters are Batman, Superman, Scorpion, and Sub-Zero. The blood is toned down, and fatalities will be replaced with "finishers" that will hurt/subdue the opponent, but not kill (because Superman and Batman will never directly kill someone).

It's gonna be rated T, but will be pushed as close as possible to a near M rating. I have to admit it looks like something different, especially now that Marvel vs Capcom is out of the picture. It could be cool

Oh yeah, if you guys are wondering how Superman can even be hurt by the MK fighters, it's been explained that the MK fighters get a major power up to be able to fight on the DC heroes/villains levels. Since most of the MK fighters' abilities have to do with magic, Superman can be hurt by them. Also, it's been said that since the MK world's sun is different than the DC world's. So Supes will be weakened.

I saw the trailer. At first I thought my roommate was showing me b/c it was a joke. I think it's an interesting match-up, and could be really cool. I'm glad Supes won't be ungodly powerful. The no Fatality or excessive amount of blood is kinda lame, but who knows.

I'll pick it up, but how can they, in a realistic sense, have any guy from mortal kombat (besides Ermac or Scorpion) beat superman? He's superman!

I just found out about this game and I think it's pretty cool. Sucks about the fatalities but Batman and Superman would never kill so it's all good. I'm glad to see the DC characters back in a fighting game and I think that Midway and the Mortal Kombat team will do them justice (pun not intended). With 10 characters on each side and Batman and Superman having been announced so far for DC, I think we can expect Wonder Woman, The Flash and Green Lantern (hopefully Hal Jordan). That would leave five more DC characters.

I think DC will probably add Black Canary, and Hawk-Man or Hawk-Girl. Anyone know if DC will include villains? Or who else is in the MK line up? I hope MeLina Is in it.

I hope Darkseid makes it to the roster. As far as the MK roster goes, after Sub-Zero and Scorpion I would like to see Mileena, Baraka, Raiden, Liu Kang, Kung Lao, Sonya, Johnny Cage, Kano.

Yeah, if you guys haven't done it yet already, click on Sub-Zero's eye. There's 16 slots with nothing but question marks, and I assume that they'll be revealed later on...

As for characters, rumor has it there's at least a starting 20 (hidden characters will probably be in to), 10 DC and 10 MK. And Ed Boon said in an interview that DC villains will be in as well as MK villains.

Lets make more speculations about who is in it.
I hope a robot, Smoke, Sector or Cyrax. Darksied would be cool, as well as the one of DC's many gorilla villains. Or Aquaman. lol.

Doomsday might be pretty cool. As well as Sinestro and the Cyborg Superman. As far as Smoke, I always liked the human Smoke better but I like the idea of Sektor and Cyrax.

Tshang Sun, I probably spelled that wrong, would be a cool villain. Back in the day of MK 3, my cousin was really good w/ him and I played as the Sub-Zero w/ out the mask. It would be cool if they put Cyborg (DC) in it, along w/ Jax.

Hell yeah Gunloc. Those would be some awesome match ups. I also think Sindel would be a cool match up for Black Canary b/c she also has a sonic scream. But Sonya would be great, too. A battle of the blondes. HOT! haha.

Sounds like it will be a great game, but Batman/Sub-Zero seems too much like Batman vs Dr Freeze. As for matchups, I like Liu Kang vs Lex Luthor, Jax vs Sgt Rock, or Blaze (MK:Armaggedon boss) vs Johnny Storm

Lol. There are enough DC character vs. Marvel character threads by WillEWorm that I can see how they might've been confused.

How bout Green Arrow vs. Night Wolf. Or Solomon Grundy vs. Zombie Lu Kang. if it was MK vs. Marvel then Bo Rai Cho vs. Tony Stark would be a good match up. haha.
