Mortal Kombat: Deception on XBox is AWESOME!!! :O

The online play is FLAWLESS, no lag whatsoever, I simply cannot believe it.

Another neat thing is that now it's compatible with the analog controls (thank god, as the d-pad on the controller S is just a wee stiff).

The framerate is a rock solid 60FPS, the animations are smooth, believeable, quick, and get this...

When you knock an opponent from a ledge or through the ground, and they travel through multi-tiered levels and land 3 or 4 floors down (provided they live :p ), the transition between levels is absolutely flawless. DOA 3, when you go through a multi-tiered level, there is a tiny noticeable skip. Yes, DOA 3 is a three year old game, and MK just came out yesterday, still, it's amazing that they were able to pull it off without a hitch. The combos, reversals, blocking and projectiles all work easily enough to get a quick hang of, but still provide enough challenge in a heated battle.

Little things abound that make the game the 5 star game that it is, like the recovery animations between rounds (instead of just appearing ready to fight again, Scorpion, for example, will be on the ground, use his hook/spear, latch on to something, and pull himself up.)

The fatalities are all over the place. While I personally have not had time to dabble with them, I saw several online last night both from player executed and stage fatalities. Sometimes going through a window means you are gonna hit the ground and be soup.

Again, I stress that the online play is lag-free. This is the most obvious concern to a potential buyer of any online fighting game, but it's just like I said. Also, you can pick between connection speeds, so you generally will get hooked up playing people at your speed. So, if you have a good connection, you'll be just fine.

Anyways, check out all the reviews, and then go get the game and see how f*ucking awesome it is...

And to those of you who wanna challenge me online...

Anyone wanna loan me some money so I can buy this?

Or should I just trade in Deadly Alliance for it?

One of the guys in my project group at school runs mortalkombatonline.com. Hes a pretty cool guy. I dont know if you guys have ever been there but check out the site...

How many fatalities? I was strongly disappointed with Deadly Alliance. One fatality per character and its an XBox game...

Fighting games should have a lot more now.

:nanner: 2 fatalitys per character,THIS GAME IS FUCKING BAD ASS !!.... .

Way better than D.A.

Whats with the two copies of the game? There is a $49 and a $59 one.

What does the more expensive come with?

(Browsing for games at Wal-Mart sucks... You can't see the games unless you ask... and I dont feel like asking some punk kid to grab a game so he can sit there and get irritated when I ask him to put it back.):2 cents:

The special edition ($59) comes with a second DVD with the history of MK, a bunch of character bios, and the complete arcade version of the original Mortal Kombat. :)
