Michael Vick signs 2-yr deal w/Eagles

Legzman

what the fuck you lookin at?
um...why is he still allowed to play?

Mcnabb is injured by week 8 and Vick takes over the starting job. He then leads the Eagles to the Super Bowl. lol.

Man, I hate the Eagles.

If I gave a shit about an athletes personal life, I wouldn't be watching sports. And I thought Vick would end up somewhere else....Vikings......UFL......

I wonder if they are going to try to turn him into a receiver or some type running option out of the backfield. The Eagles are generally a smart organization so they should know enough to tell he sucks at playing quarterback and that was before she spent the last two years not even playing football.

He wont be playing QB mcnabb will be playing. If he is injured then he will.

He will be playing special situations and this could be a good offense.

Remember he is not able to plAy until week 7 unless they change it so he has time to get ready.

Good for Phillie, now they have two crappy starting qb's.

Everyone who is talking shit about Michael Vick playing in the NFL again is going to watch him and be like, "God damn, he's awesome" when he finally suits up and you know it.

Let's just be thankful he didn't sign with the Browns, because we'd be hearing "Dawg Pound" jokes all year long.

I can't wait to see him fail. He's never been awesome. This is a guy that has a career 75.7 QB rating - very pedestrian, below average. He's mediocre at best behind center. He's been out of the game for two years, and I don't think he'll recover from that. His only hope is to be moved to a different position.

Oh, he's a TERRIBLE quarterback. But, he's an amazing football player. The dude can flat out handle the ball and lead his team to points. Like I said, once he suits up, everybody is going to be drooling.

Hey man ! Give the guy a break you racist rednecks !

The man has paid his debt to society !

Lay OFF NOW ! :thefinger

Now if you wanna talk about the man's performance, let's put a line in front of him and see what happens ! :nanner:

General question:
If the Raiders didn't have Russell, do you think that Davis would have bit on Vick ? :D

No, not really. Once teams figured out he was a one trick pony after his first year or two he became a large liability to Atlanta. A mediocre quarterback would have gotten his team more points. He couldn't throw well to save his life, and teams more or less figured out how to limit his running to make it so it wasn't enough for Atlanta to win. No matter how good somebody runs if you don't have somebody that can throw well under at QB you are not likely to win unless the rest of the team is stout. None of that even takes into account he is rusty and two years older now, people tend to slow down as they age, he was prone to mistakes, quarterbacks that run like him are more likely to get hurt, he never had a good mind for football, and his work ethic sucked. This isn't like Manning or Brady coming back in a similar situation. He was barely good enough to even be at the QB position as a backup when he left in the first place. Bringing somebody like that in doesn't seem to be worth all the PR headache. I guess if you want to do a lot of fancy stuff or loose in style he's the man though.

I don't wish anything bd on him but I do think he is played out but he could open somethings up for McNabb

I wish very bad things on him. He was involved in illegal stuff, lied about it to the league and his fans, and really hasn't shown that he's sorry for it.

um...why is he still allowed to play?

Great question. He should be banned from even selling popcorn in the stands.

So no matter what an athlete does off the field, it's cool as long as their winning, right?

I bet I won't.

He ELECTROCUTED A DOG TO DEATH for losing a dog fight. And that was just one of the highlights of this socially maladjusted thug's "mistakes". I guess living life like you're in a rap
video is only cool until you get caught- then you have to beg for a second chance and act like you're a victim.

If he gets on the field, I hope someone turns loose a pack of dogs that eat the fucker right there at the 50 yard line.

Michael Vick=piece of shit.

:2 cents: :hatsoff:

Only geeks who have barely played ball obssess over stats when the object of the game is to win & the Falcons won with Vick in the lineup & struggled without him.

Can't wait to go out & by my Vick Eagles jersey which shall be the leagues best selling one this season.

2 years(team option second season) & 6 million dollars is okay for an ex convict.;)

I wishing the man the best of luck.

Regardless of his football talents (which are pretty impressive if you can be objective, aside from his QB rating, anyway) and the fact that he's paid his fines and served his time, I don't think he's paid his debt to society. Let me explain.

I have a blue collar job and an unfinished college degree. Now say I commit a felony. Not just a felony but one that carries a federal rap. After I finish serving my time I'd have to go to a halfway house, report to a parole officer and pee in a cup on cue. If I'm lucky I would be able to maybe get a job pushing a broom, waiting tables or collecting trash. All that because of the stigma attached to a felony conviction. I'm not saying its right for people to treat cons that way, but that's how it is.

Michael Vick left school two years early and hasn't gone back to finish his degree. Sure, he did a year and a half in Leavenworth and he's taking the steps to re-enter society but that's where it gets turned upside down. Even if he signs for the league minimum of what, $300,000, he's still going to make at least more than ten times the amount an average person would make under similar circumstances. Why? Because he can run faster than most normal people while carrying a football.

Honestly, I hope he redeems himself. I just wish he had been forced to play in Canada, the Arena Football League or the UFL instead of being patted on the back and handed this opportunity to resume his life while only having to go through a small percentage of the grind that every other criminal has to endure.

I've never been a fan of the Eagles and this move does nothing to change that.

I have to admit that it is difficult to get excited about this move to say the least. Donovan McNabb must be pining for the days of T.O. over this potential circus.
